Out of the Park Burgers

Out of the park is Out of this world! Wow I stopped here for lunch after court. Yummyyyy! Fast convenient and so fresh tasting. Nothing like five guys. I used to be a frequent five guys eater until I came here. Does not compare at all. Burgers are fresh, fries are crispy, milkshakes so good. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Amazingly, there is really nothing near by my cookie purchasing trip so this was the place for lunch today.
The outside of the restaurant is really nice looking, as it stands alone from the other businesses in the area. When you get inside the look is all over the place. They have a lot of Yankee baseball this and that stuff all over the place with no rhyme or reason. I would think with the baseball theme they might have a flat screen in the restaurant to at least show the games when they are on, but no TV’s only some type of piped in music in the front dining area.
Now for the burger, or should I say the burger accessories. I purchased the combo with bacon and all the fixings with my barbecue sauce on the side. This meal came with fries and a small drink. They have a self serve drink machine in the dining room so the small drink was not a big deal. There was a drink station with Pepsi products, lids and straws. In the drink station area where most places have extra napkins, salt, pepper, ketchup etc., this place had none. No extra napkins, is there a napkin shortage or something that I am not aware of? My order was called and I sat down. Here is the short and sweet of the meal.
Fries — Hot, crispy and just the right amount of salt, which is good because they do not allow you to get any extra salt unless you ask for it.
Burger — read on further down regarding the burger, but before I get to the burger
The Bun — Big, soft and fresh.
Lettuce — crispy, fresh and it appears that they use a chopped romaine lettuce.
Pickles — they were tasty and good and I am I not a huge pickle fan.
Sauteed Onions — Hot and well cooked
Bacon — Crispy and flavorful
Cheese — ahhhh, not melted just plopped on the burger
Tomato — Not bad for being off season
If you were a vegetarian, ordering the burger minus the burger might be a plus. The insides of the burger were pretty delicious. Now to the not so great burger.
This burger was small and had no flavor. Without the burger additions it would have been totally unedible. If you are thinking that this place might have a burger with some sort of comparison to Shake Shack then I can assure you there is no comparison. The meat appears to be pre-​made somewhere else and possibly frozen because of the missing flavor. Had I been blindfolded I could have named all of the items on the burger with possibly the exception of the burger. Everything mammothed the burger in size and flavor.
There was one person eating here when I arrived, one person came in for a to go order and then me. Parking is really convenient, but I cant see this as a to go spot or a return to spot.
I am giving 2 stars because the fries were good, other wise this would have been a 1 star meal.
It was edible, I just would not want to eat it again.

Good. Not great. not bad. Just go try it and you’ll see what I mean.

Love the whole baseball theme here. burgers and salads are always fresh, potatoes cut on site, staff is, always polite and bathrooms clean. i’ll definitely be back.

Great burgers, fast service, good value.
The burgers require several napkins, tasty, and good sized. The shakes require a great set of lungs… or a spoon.
Good place to go for a nice lunch that will taste grew, fill you, and get you back to work on time.

Fast, super polite service, and ive had the food a few times and its great. The fries are better than similar places in miss opinion, and the burgers are. They deliver. And with the slightly pricy but totally worth it menu, one person can make the minimum of $ 10 for delivery

First time here tonight and I will say I ate at sonic, in and out burger, checkers, 5 guys, smash burger, burger bandit, White Castle, Wendy’s, Burger King & McDonald’s… Guess what… oUt Of The PARK BurGERs blew these other burgers away.
I will return, homemade cole slaw is excellent.
With that said, Baci Burger in Las Vegas is king!

First time here love the layout of the place and how it’s close to my home. Staff was very patient with me and even gave me suggestions on what’s good I tried the barbecue burger and it was delicious. Food was done quick and efficient and the experience was just perfect

Greasy burger. If that’s what you want then its fine, but way too much grease for me. Fast service.

I used to love this place I loved everything but recently I went there burgers are to small and thin. There very tasty but to much bread if they are going to use bread that thick make a bigger burger. They been so cheap lately. If they don’t change that then they will lose at least a couple of customers. I would rather go to Five Guys instead of this place. You get more for a cheaper and better price. Don’t waste your time here go to five guys instead.

Love this place! Burgers are yummy and the LOVE there onion rings. Delicious! The service is pretty fast (although I do suggest to call ahead to place your order! Saves a bit of time), friendly and everything is fresh!

I really just wanted to get on and comment about the woman who took my order and I have to say I’m really surprised of the differences of opinions in the reviews. Some are way to harsh for a burger place. Remember everyone, it’s a burger joint, not a 5 star restaurant.
I stop in almost every time I go to Home Depot. Get the same thing every time; a burger and fries for myself and my husband. It is always hot and always what I asked for. The wait is about 5 minutes, but they make it fresh, that takes time and we’ll worth the wait.
As far as the décor, grow up. Do you really give a rats a$$? Again, its not a 5 star restaurant. It’s clean, there are seats, the food is good, well priced, and it’s quiet. I think the décor is fine, but I’m not looking for a waiter to place the napkin on my lap and make sure my water is filled either.
Back to the young lady who took my order. What a breath of fresh air! She was polite, smiled, and was very attentive to me and my order. I know the owner was sitting at a table, but she’s the same person when he’s not there. I can only hope he knows what he’s got with her.

If you’re hungry, this place is satisfying! Always nice to have a freshly grilled anything! Fresh cut fries are tasty! My favorite item so far is the steak sandwich. The burgers are good, they’re cooked properly and the toppings are tasty and abundant. Buffalo wings hit the spot and free drink refills is a plus !

I get the crispy chicken Blt wrap and it’s delicious. The interior is small but adorable and clean. Also the staff is the nicest and made the fact we had to pick it up worth it.

I had the crispy chicken sandwich, but I wasn’t very impressed. Perhaps if I come back I will try a burger. The fries were pretty good.

This place just seemed like a poor 5 Guys clone. I was really hoping for something great, in this market you really need to be great and original. This place was neither. I joked at how they advertise «fries» in the window, as if that was some major innovation for a burger joint.
The staff wasn’t overly friendly, it didn’t really seen like they cared if they were there or not, or if you were either. I ordered a bbq bacon cheeseburger combo, which came out to just over 9 bucks. Not horrible, but I guess I expect something great for that price.
Portions were very reasonable, they pile on the fries like 5 Guys, although they had barely any taste. They were essentially just something to dip in ketchup. The burger was incredibly salty. It was cooked well enough but the taste was not great.
The décor was pretty sparse. Clearly they are playing off the baseball theme (since they’re right by Ducks Stadium), but there’s not enough of it to be interesting, and merging it with a 5 Guys, well I’d rather just get 5 Guys. The fries and burgers are so much better there.
I do think they are smart to offer the burger eating challenge, but things like not having napkins, or ketchup out for people to access is a disappointment. And please, develop a more thorough concept than just merging 5 Guys with baseball. Unless I hear about major overalls, I’m not ever going back.

This is my go-​to place for lunch in the area. I ate here several times over the summer while taking my bar exam prep course at nearby Touro Law Center. A friend and I wanted to try something different outside of the law school, and come upon this little slice of happiness.
Over the course of 2 months or so, I’ve been able to have burgers more than once, a grilled chicken sandwich once, a turkey burger once, and the fries ALWAYS. I also have tried their shakes.
The food is usually quite tasty! The chicken was juicy and the burgers are filling, even when we would get the smallest size. The amount of fixings you can get on your chicken sandwich or burger is incredible, allowing for endless customization. I usually would get mine with at least their signature spicy relish. The prices are very reasonable, and the fries are more than enough to share with a friend. My friend actually isn’t a fan of spicy foods, but when I asked for for their cajun fries, loved them! Like Five Guys, they have regular and Cajun seasoned fries and like Five Guys, give you tons. They were always yummy!
The shakes were what I began to look forward to the most once I started drinking them. Some woman ordered a banana coffee shake one day and I had to try it… I’ve been hooked since! That’s right… you can mix flavors of shakes to make your own kind of flavor!
The staff is usually outstanding. They are always friendly and patient. If a mistake is made, they fix it immediately. They greet you and say goodbye with smiling faces. Seeing this really helped when I was busy studying for the bar exam!
My only gripe is that last time my friend and I went there, the burgers and chicken sandwich seemed smaller and the amount of the requested fixings was also smaller. They also forgot some of my fixings. The fry amount was still fine though, same with the shake. I think they had some new staff since a lot of staff works there seasonally during the summer.
Overall, if you’re in Central Islip looking for a cheap lunch, I recommend giving this place a shot!

I have to say, I am surprised the reviews are so mixed– I am super picky about burgers, I hate Five Guys, and I loved Out of the Park.
The burgers are not available rare (how I like them personally) but the patty is still not dry and the bun is REALLY good. Plus, there’s chipotle mayo and red onion. So total advantage over Five Guys there.
The fries are similar to FG as well, but there is no large option. It’s a bit pricey– a burger, fries and drink will run about $ 8, and kids meals with a mini-​burger are $ 5– but the overall quality is good and consistent. When we feel like driving out this way, my kids are big fans and they don’t eat burgers most other places. The portions are kind of small, but they’re not tiny.
Also, it’s an indie joint, and there are so few of those nowadays– it’s nice to just eat something that doesn’t taste like the same McDonald’s burger you’ve eaten 90 times.
