We went there on Sept 4th for someone’s birthday. Â 6 of us. Â We walked in, it’s very dark and outdated, smells damp, like an old motel. Â We sat ourselves and it seemed like forever before the bartender showed up. Â Some unnamed person from Crabshires states on my review on their FB page that it was within 2 minutes according to their security footage. Â I have a hard time believing this as yet unnamed person, but we will suppose they are right and I am wrong about THAT(though I very seriously doubt it as we were looking around and the absence of service had time to become a topic of conversation). Â According to them, «nuff said» bc I «need a watch» but oh so much more happened. Â And no one from crabshires has ever apologized or even acknowledged it. Â Not to mention, that was their response, to be rude even further. Anyway, We intended to stay for several rounds so when someone tried to tell the bartender how the checks were to be split, she very rudely cut them off. Â We were only there for one round. Â She never checked on us once. Â She looked at me like i was crazy when i asked if there was any cider on tap. Â «NO!» Very loudly and rudely. Â «Ok, well do you have any in a bottle?» Â «NO!» Â Same thing. Â Rude and acting like i was crazy. Â When we decided to leave, we had to go to the bar to request a tab, again met with rudeness. Â My friend that was with us knew one of the regulars who told her, «oh, you have to give her a break bc she is pregnant.» Â There is no excuse for rudeness. Â Or laziness. Â She printed out the checks and handed them to my friend to bring back to the table. Â Couldn’t even offer to let my friend come back to the table and bring them herself. Â Since we ended up staying for only round, the tab was low so I just paid for the whole thing. Â Tipped 18%. Â Not great, but the service was appalling. Â Even so, I didn’t want to stiff her. As we were walking out, she yelled at us, «Maybe you will be nice to the next one!!»(Bartender, I assume). Â For that I did turn back around and change the tip to zero. Â I will not PAY for service like THAT. Â At that point she screamed at me that she didn’t want my money and to get her fat ass out of her bar. Â(5’6, 145 lbs) Â I am not a skinny Minnie, but certainly not a fat ass. Â And even if I WAS, since when was screaming that at patrons ok??? Â Again, Crabshires response to this review on Facebook was to tell me I need a new watch. Â I think if you are one of the regulars, there will be no end to free drinks and a feeling of comraderie. Â If you aren’t a regular, watch out!

Our favorite new bar. Atmosphere here is tough to beat and their food is excellent. Great selection of beer and drinks. Menu is small and simple, which my wife and I liked. Â The crab cake bites are unreal. The owners mom makes them and it’s how they taste, homemade. Staff is awesome and the setting is super relaxed and chill. We will be regulars here after this first visit. Definitely try this place.
