Mama’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant

Great pizza and unique crust that gives it a little texture. Wait for pizza is usually 15 minutes or less and is always hot and ready when I arrive. Dine in area is clean and is recently updated. Staff is helpful and friendly enough. This is a go to for reliable pizza.

I eat the pizza here when I visit my parents and typically it’s good quality. With regards to customer service, I’ve gone in to place my takeout order and received mediocre service. Tonight we felt exceptional and ordered calamari. It was undercooked and stunk like rotten fish. I’m not saying we won’t eat here again but we’re sticking to pizza going forward.

I’m a huge fan of Mama’s pizza. Their regular cheese pie is delicious, with high quality ingredients. The sauce tastes right and the cheese is legit. They put breadcrumbs or perhaps cook it on a screen and it gives the bottom of the crust this unique texture. Their toppings can often overwhelm the structural integrity of the slice so I usually stick to plain cheese. But it’s old school and super solid. And it holds up the next day as cold breakfast. Trust me, I know.

Even though it was a little pricey they gave us a free salad and 2 orders of free garlic bread. Will defiantly come back!

this place is a diamond in the rough. awesome food and great pasta nights menu for $ 14.95, this will blow you away. good size portions but no tortalini pasta, weird but true. place is small so make reservations. the bar is 80% of the entire area which could be tables that make money.75% of the bar could go and still service the entire place. off pasta will have an awesome menu. price about 40 to $ 60 for two on average but you will be taking food home with you. nice cold bottle of water on the table and plenty of garlic bread sticks. get there early and not wait to be seated. the food is hot and great tasting. try them you wont be sorry make sure your reservations are confirmed as one lady who takes names forgets to put them in the book. plenty of
has a piano but never seen it being played. time to hire someone.

I love pizza, and this place is mediocre at best. Their best slice is Sicilian. I’m not sure what they do with their regular pies, but they do something very strange with the bottom of the crust so it is textured. If they removed the texture, their pizza would be so much better.
Also, the place always seems dirty. I’ve never seen the tables clean, and there’s always dirt and food under them. I’ve actually never seen any of the staff go out and clean them… Ewww.

I grew up in Manhattan, in an apartment right above a pizzeria. Needless to say, that is my standard for good New York-​style pizza. This place gets it right.
This is no brick/​coal/​wood-​oven pizza place. It’s not like Brooklyn’s Grimaldi’s or Manhattan’s Lombardi’s. That’s a different category of pizza. This is the Ray’s/Original Ray’s/Famous Ray’s kind of pizzeria. I regularly buy their regular cheese pizza by the pie. I don’t judge/​order pizza by the slice because they sit there for variable lengths of time. You need to get a fresh pie, even if it’s only for two people. The pizza has a slight orange oil typical of pizzeria-​style pizza, but not so much as to be considered greasy. The crust is nice, firm, crisp and capable of supporting the cheese that lies on top. It is not overly thick, like some of pizza places around here. And most importantly, the crust is NOT soft. If I wanted a soft crust, I’d get… wait, no… this is pizza, it should NEVER have a soft crust. They don’t use corn meal as their non-​stick pizza peel dusting — they use bits of dough. It works well. Their cheese is top notch: it stretches and it’ll burn the roof of your mouth if you’re not careful. Toppings tend to be pricier, but they give you a decent quantity.
After taste, the next best gauge of pizza quality is it’s «leftover consistency». Take a pizza pie, eat until you regret having taken another slice, then stick the rest in the fridge. The next day, heat up the leftovers in the oven. If it tastes similar to the original, you have a good pizza. The leftover consistency of this pizza is great. The cheese melts back to its original form, unlike the pizza you get from Dominos or Costco or some other local pizzerias around here.
Since pizza can be subjective, here’s my ranking of pizza quality from worse to best in this area:
(Worst) Costco food counter pizza, Dominos, Sole O Mio, Mama’s Pizza (Best, around this area).
I’ve also been to the restaurant portion of this place — Café Figaro. The portions are large, pasta al dente, but their bread sticks are rather bland. I had no problems with their service. My pies are ready within 10 – 15 minutes of my order every time.

***HORRENDOUS SERVICE*** NOT WORTH ONE STAR! My first & LAST time! The waiter took our order and NEVER came back. He NEVER offered us appetizers or drinks and NEVER asked if I wanted soup or salad (which comes with the meal). A while later, On the way to the restroom, I saw the waiter hanging out and he said to me… «Oh yeah, do you want soup or salad?» Back at the table I eventually had to flag down a 2^nd waiter who got us drinks, by now our meals were done. I flagged down another waiter for dessert (original waiter still nowhere to be found). We were served warm cheesecake. When I mentioned it they served another warm slice. The food was sub par, service was slow and the waiters make you feel like they’re doing you a favor when serving you! When I PAID my bill I decided not to tip because the service was so poor. I was then chased out the door and asked «What is your problem? Was there something wrong with the service?» While I was explaining the waitress came over, told me to «GET OUT, JUST GO… DON’T COME BACK, YOU’RE NOT WELCOMED!!» This was all done IN FRONT OF MY CHILDREN!!! Needless to say the service was appalling! I will NEVER come back to this establishment!!!

After the way my friend was treated after visiting this establishment, THEY WILL NEVER GET A DIME FROM ME OR ANYONE THAT I KNOW. She visited this so called restaurant with her three small children (ages 4, 7 & 8) and was treated horribly. She had to summoned the waiters and waitresses the entire time. She was not given any drinks, the waiter did not bring her a part of her meal and she was given WARM cheesecake. Then when she left without leaving a tip because she received the worse service ever… The male waiter (Josh) chased her and her children outside to find out if there was a problem… Then a female waiter (Lauren) after conducting herself like a PIT BULL and would not leave Josh to discuss his less then stellar customer service, she then told my friend to «leave and don’t come back». Then after Josh did not like her response to why she did not leave a tip, he then repeated the same thing that Lauren said and told her to leave. They did not care that the THREE SMALL CHILDREN were present and watching their mother be talked to in that manner. I am going to make sure that this location does not get any money from me, my sons football organization and children’s schools as well. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. If you want to treated POORLY, then this is the establishment for you!

So I randomly stopped in for some pizza one night and let me say I love my pizza and I’m very picky and this is a place I will never get pizza from again the dough is very strange has a strange texture and taste I wouldn’t even consider it a pizza dough. This is not a place I would consider going even just for a quick bite to eat.

This was my first and last visit! I ordered 2 pies and they said I cannot dine in because of the combo I ordered? What the heck kind of answer is that! The service was complete garbage, no confidence in any of the answers they gave me, rudest bunch of pizza folks I have ever encountered and all for a pizza that wasn’t even that good! Also they are soooo sloooooow at making pies. I recommend this place to nobody. Save your money there’s a better pizzeria next to mcdonalds. Go there!

Can only review about their garlic knot slice, but I will go out of my way to get a slice of their garlic knot pizza… amazing…

I’ve learned that good pizza is subjective. This is my favorite pizza around. They have a garlic knot pizza that is amazing. The crust is like a garlic knot. I have not seen this anywhere else.
The cheese is just the right amount of salty. Dough always tastes fresh.

Their pizza is awful. Especially the crust. I think they make it out of cardboard the sauce tastes like it’s store brand garbage too. I took one bite and tossed on the floor with the other garbage. I’ll eat dominos before I’d eat that crap again and I hate dominos pizza. Whoever makes the pies their should be s**t canned. While the heros are ok, just ok. I remember this place being good at one time too. Think of mama’s like ebola. If you get it once and live to talk about it you’ll never want to get it and in this go again.

Rarely will I decide to have pizza for dinner, considering I work in a Pizza Hut express. But, Mamas has the best pizza I have ever had I’m my life. Something about the dough is just perfect. I’m not just talking crust… The pizza is amazing. My favorite is the Garlic bread crust pizza. They always give you large slices and the place is always clean. Some of the staff could be a little more friendly, but they definitely aren’t rude at all… So idk about those other reviews. I’ve been coming here for 5 years now. Never had a bad experience. Love the pizza.

Shitty pasta

Nothing great about this place !!! Make sure you bring your wallet, your friends wallet, your wifes wallet. awhole alot of money for tasteless food. alot better pleaces to spend your money and get a great pizza. The heros are ZEROS !!!

One chicken parm and one eggplant parm for $ 40 at a strip mall Italian place? Ouch. Then the good came. Awful. Sauce had no flavor. Chicken tough. Won’t go again.

I smell this place every day when I go to the gym. It makes it difficult to work out sometimes because it smells so good. Finally, I decided to try it.
Crust: Awesome. Very good crust here
Sauce: So-​so. A little bland for me
Cheese: So-​so. When it was cooling, it started to get that store-​bought taste
The crust is the only thing saving this from a two star. I bet this place makes great breadsticks
