Oh Casey’s, once upon a time I loved you. It was because you came to the small town that was lacking a gas station or a pizzeria. You brought us hope when there was none. But now, now you’ve become overconfident and greedy. You are buying up everything around you; Handimart, Go-America, Ma and Pa’s. It matters not as you are churning your way across Iowa’s landscape. But what of your pizza? It is what it is. Gas station pizza made by that 18 year old that flunked out of the state university and has returned to the basement of his parent’s home. It is so hit and miss. Will it be thin crust or a thicker crust tonight. Skimpy on the toppings? Burnt? Poorly cut? I can get better odds at the casino in Riverside. So, if you want pizza that isn’t frozen cardboard, but can’t drive someplace that sells good pizza. Go to Casey’s.
