I have had to use Taylor door for two different occasions an both times the service Guy was polite, informative, an efficient. I would recommend Taylor door to both my friends and family. If you look at my profile, you’ll see that it is extremely rare for me to give one-star reviews and I don’t even give a lot of 2-star reviews. My policy is usually«If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.» However, our experience with Taylor Door was SO terrible, I felt I needed to review it and warn others. We were looking to have a door to our three-seasons room replaced and a pet door installed. My husband traded emails and phone calls with one of the staff. He came out, measured the door, took the pet door we’d bought with him and said he’d call the next day to confirm prices and give us more details. A week went by, and we realized we’d never gotten that call. My husband emailed. A day or two later, I left a phone message. At this point, we weren’t upset, just puzzled, wondering if something had gone wrong or if there had been a miscommunication. Over the next month, we emailed another time and left a couple of messages with the receptionist, but we received nothing but radio silence. We didn’t want the work DONEASAP, you understand — we just wanted an update telling us what was going on. If they’d called us back and explained there was a problem, we would have understood. Finally, my husband got so upset that he called and left a message saying it was the last time he would call, that he was cancelling the order and wanted his pet door back. He said the next call they received on this matter would be a call from our lawyer. The next day, we were left a phone message that they’d packaged up the pet door and were sending it back via UPS. No explanation was ever offered for why we’d never heard back from the original staff member we talked to. I like to support Mom n Pop places, but this experience left a REALLY bad taste in our mouths.
