This place might be the most disgusting place to get a burrito. I ate one bite and sent it back as it was super dry and had a weird chemical aftertaste, kinda like canned meat. The waitress came back to check on our meals only after everyone else was done so I had to eat after going here. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because they apologized. I wish I trusted my instincts and walked out when I saw it was dead on a Friday night.

Thought I would give the call in another shot. Order screwed up again! This time nothing in the system when I got there. These folks just can’t get it right. To many other options like Illegal Pete’s, jump start, etc. for good breakfast burritos. If you value your time, don’t call in here!

Stick with the red chili dishes only. Not the best but closer to New Mexican red chili than other area Mexican restaurants. Yes, there is a difference! Ordered two dinners ‘to-go.’ The carnitas dinner was terrible! I ended up throwing the meal away as it was basically bad green chili with pork. Upon opening(disappointed) and tasting(totally disappointed), I immediately called and spoke with the owner… he said he would reimburse for the carnitas dinner. That was on May 11, 2016… two and a half weeks later still no credit. If you know what real New Mexican food is supposed to be don’t bother walking in the door unless you’re ordering sopes to-go. This New Mexican restaurant has lost sight of the delicious flavors of ‘real’ New Mexican food. BTW, the two stars are for the sopapillas.

Little Anita’s is genuine northern New Mexico cuisine. The food all hinges on the quality of green or red chile, which varies a bit by season. When the green chile is good, it’s outstanding. Best in Denver. When the green chile is off, it’s still very good. With sopapillas always included with an entrée, we always come back for more.

I’m so full I can’t move! We met friends here for dinner after hearing that it was good, they were right! We had range of things, from chips and salsa, to chimichangas to burritos to combination plates and finally sopapillas. All comments all round the able was good, I can vouch for my burrito and sopapilla. It was great to finish the dinner with something light. I also had two little Anita’s margaritas. The weren’t the bed but certainly not the worst Ive ever had! All in all our meals and drinks came to about $ 50, not bad to good food and alright service.

I love this place! Haven’t had a bad experience yet. Not only am I a frequent diner, but I got Little Anitas catering service last August. The owner was so helpful and accommodating. I got a fantastic price and she worked with all of my needs. I live closer to the Denver location and she allowed me to pick up my food from there. All Of my guests were so satisfied by the spread. Thank you again, Little A’s! I will not only be back as a diner but will you keep you in mind for my next catered event!

Garbage. Everything is out of a can: rice, beans, chicken!!! I’m given 3 chips and salsa our of a jar. I would seriously doubt anyone working here has ever even been to Mexico. Unfortunately this is not even surprising.

I absolutely LOVE the food here and have always had an affinity for their green chile. The breakfast burritos are also magical, as anyone who’s ever tried them is well aware. Whenever I have friends visit from out of town, I always take them here — the food is that good that I have to show it off ;) The 3 star rating is due to the service. A couple months back I swore I wouldn’t return after waiting 20 minutes for my check. More recently, I waited well over 10 minutes to get a margarita when I was the only one in the restaurant. I hope the management will staff more appropriately, because I love their food and I don’t want to be frustrated by sub par service all the time. Also, what’s with young children in the BAR area? That gets old really quickly when you’re trying to watch a game and enjoy a marg while three toddlers are screaming in a nearby booth. Can the bar not be sacred?

Very good New Mexican food. The best chile relleno I’ve had in Denver, and the house salsa was terrific. Great lunch specials and prices are reasonable. Only(minor) complaints: they could do better with the chips(kind of stale and cold), and the service was just a bit slow(the bartender was also waiting tables). Altogether, it was a good experience and we will be back.

I come here at least once a week for the breakfast burritos. They are amazing. I use to go to the one on Colorado Blvd but now since I found out that this is 1 min from my work and 5 mins from my house I will just come here every time. Get the breakfast burrito covered in either red or green chili. Both are great and it just depends what I am in the mood for. My breakfast burrito includes eggs, chrizo, and papitas(potatoes).

What a disappointment. Was looking forward to some good New Mexican food– not here. I may not know how to cook New Mexican food, but I do know, uncle ben’s micro rice, can beans & shredded beef that comes from a can or pouch. We ordered green and red chile enchiladas & the green chile stew. The stew had what appeared to be cut up day old baked potatoes. I wish I could say something good about this place but I can’t. The music is so loud and that play list could be improved. And I love Mexican music.

I was waiting to review Little Anita’s until I experience something other than their breakfast burritos, but after living nearby for nine years and only ever getting these burritos, I am not sure things will ever change. They’re solid and at around $ 3 a pop, you certainly get the bang for your buck. I’m a hungry girl and have trouble finishing a whole one. They’re made fast but I recommend calling ten minutes ahead and picking up quickly. I go for bacon but the rest of my family prefers chorizo. It may be a little runny due to the green chili, but the tortilla somehow holds it all together! Definitely one of my favorite breakfasts for road trips, ski days or just a lazy morning.

I only ever get the take out breakfast burritos. They are pretty much awesome. They’ll wrap them in foil for you if you are going camping. Try getting one with sausage and bacon. I did once come to dine in(early afternoon) but the service was slow and the food was not great. Sticking to the burritos from now on!

Y.U.M. This place is great. Based out of New Mexican food the food here shames what people have grown to consider«good» Mexican food. Service was better when they had he smaller store, but it’s nice being further away from other customers. Great sit down place for great food

It was a fundraising night for my child’s school. The food was good, not super delicious, but good. We took our dinner order to go. I ordered 2 chicken quesadillas for our kids and it was $ 9.50 each, that’s almost $ 20 for two kids under the age of 7! I mean, it has chicken and other stuff — not just cheese but almost $ 10?! We all enjoyed our food and would go again if it wasn’t so expensive. I guess, just be prepared for the cost and you will enjoy it better.

Having been raised on excellent New Mexican food I will just say it is very difficult to find in Denver. With that said Little Anita’s always delivers on food that reminds me of home. The green chili is excellent especially on the chili rellenos which are the best in Denver. The Carne Adovada which is pork marinated in red chili(no not enchilada sauce) is fantastic and something everyone should try. If that is not your speed pick anything else off the extensive menu and you will not be disappointed. The staff is friendly, attentive, and we feel like part of the family every time we come in. They have locations throughout the city(my favorite is off I-25 and Arapahoe) and is a must stop for Mexican food lovers. Be warned though… the Hatch Chili served is authentic and addicting!

Well. Moving here from Tx. About 3 years ago, we’ve been sampling different Mex. restaurants and decided to try this one last week. I ordered the Carnitas and the pork that I found hidden under the sauce tasted like it was out of a can. I even had my wife taste it and she said the same thing I was thinking. I didn’t finish my meal. We ordered the sampler appetizer and they gave us a thimble size portion of the guacamole, bean dip, salsa, and sour cream. The house margaritas were all right and cheap at Happy Hour, but the food needs help.

— The chips were a little stale — The salsa was ok — The pork stew was above average — The green chili pork enchiladas were not good at all. Only slightly flavored and it wasn’t a good flavor. Very tinny — The beans tasted like they were from a can — The rice tasted like it was the microwaved variety

I visited and thought the place was nice. The hostess and waitress were very nice. I ordered a steak burrito, which I thought was a bit expensive at $ 10,95. I had chips and salsa, the chips were warm and the salsa has a little kick. When I received my dish it looked okay but the first bite told me I was eating prepackaged food, it all tasted like it came out of a can, which the waitress confirmed is true. The meat had a slightly sour taste, maybe it was old meet. The green chili was bland. It also came with a sopapia but that thing was so tasteless that after one bite I threw it back in the basket even the honey couldn’t help. While it’s a nice place and I’m sure for the clientele who visit, I suspect booze hounds, then I’m sure the way the food tastes really doesn’t matter. I know one thing this was my first and last visit to this restaurant.

I had never been to Little Anita’s before. I was actually given a breakfast burrito today at the company I work for in Centennial. It was okay, I dunno the last time I had a breakfast burrito as I’m not huge on Mexican cuisine. I had their bacon one, it was okay. A little spicy for me. I guess I just am not in the mood for spiciness in the morning! But also by the time I got to eat it, the tortilla was pretty soggy and I’m a big texture eater so it grossed me out and I couldnt eat much. I’ll have to come in and try some other types of dishes!
