It’s not surprising that all reviews for Guardian H&AC are all very high. I called 3 companies for estimates and Kurt was only person who actually arrived as scheduled. With that positive start, Kurt was very courteous (had booties for shoes before I even told him I prefer no shoes in house), patient with all my questions and expedient with his written proposal with no attempt to up-​sale.
Of 2 other companies, one never showed after changing appt time twice in one day (because of urgent issues elsewhere) and other company called to ask address since they were lost, was condescending, rushed me during inspection, questioned what type of research I had done since I was asking specific questions, then proceeded to overbid while offering to «give» me free vent and furnace cleaning. Not only did Kurt clean the furnace, but also repaired an electrical disconnect I had with my fireplace at no additional charge.
Kurt stated in advance that I should plan for about 4 – 5 hours for the install. He called morning of appt to say he would be at my place on time (just another courtesy call), arrived on time and completed work well within the allotted time. He and James were willing to answer any questions I had during the process and kept me updated. Kurt honored his very reasonable estimate even after having to make a slight adjustment (requiring additional supplies).
Quality of work is important, which they have down pact, but courtesy, integrity and punctuality are just some of the things that sets Guardian apart from others.

Called Kurt on an emergency basis when my furnace went out and he was there in an hour. Showed me my problem: burnt out capacitor from a motor that was extremely dirty and thus working too hard and pulling too many amps. Never tried to tell me it was worse than it was or sell me on other things I didn’t need. Swapped the capacitor out for free (advised me it wouldn’t last, and it didn’t) and told me he could have a new motor in two days. When I called him back to ask him to install a whole new furnace instead (current one was 15 years old), he was there the next day after explaining my options. He quoted me a price over the phone and the quote never changed. When he came to do the work, I asked if he could take a look at my malfunctioning gas fireplace as well. He got it working again in 30 minutes, and did it out of the kindness of his heart: no extra charge. I spent a lot of time online researching ‘furnace repair scams’ prior to Kurt coming over, and he showed none of the warning signs of a scammer.
In my opinion, you can completely trust Kurt.

Both I and my neighbor have had replacement central air units installed by Guardian and cannot say enough good about this company.
Not only are they extremely professional, they will work with you to explain your options, the pro’s and con’s of the options and help you decide what is best for you instead of what will line their wallets the most.
Without question — when I next need anything HVAC I will be calling Guardian period.
If I could give six stars, I would.

While I wish we didn’t need Guardian’s services, our air conditioner died an unfortunate death and if I didn’t want my hot blooded hubby to lose his mind this summer we needed to replace it. Kurt was very professional and good at explaining things in a way that I mostly knew what he was talking about. He worked quickly and cleanly, wearing boot covers on the carpet and taking all of the packaging and old equipment out with him. Pricing seemed very reasonable. He showed me how to keep the new unit clean and gave me a few basic troubleshooting tips, and he includes a five year labor warranty and a free follow up visit a year from installation. I’m very satisfied and would happily recommend this company.
