I’m sorry to anyone that likes this tattoo shop but all of the work that I have personally seen come from here is just terrible. I have seen some decent pictures of Van’s work but other than him their artists are unfortunately not at all up to par and they keep hiring new staff so I can’t give names. Their line work is especially terrible. I’m glad I waited to find another shop to do my tattoos. ***Also*** their piercer is quite obviously self taught, probably just from looking on the Internet. Honestly by the looks of her many piercings, I would bet she did them herself maybe while not even looking. I am so disappointed with the stuff I have seen come from their shop. If you are getting, or have already gotten, your first tattoo here, I’m sorry because there is SO much better out there. Don’t waste your bucks.

Got daith piercings for migraines here. Jessica was very kind and gentle. And it worked! I used to get 1 – 2 migraines a week. Down to one a month now and seems to be getting better and better. Highly recommended!

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed getting tattooed at this shop! My sisters and I stopped by earlier today while we were looking around for someone who was free to take a couple walk ins. The owners Jesica and Van were so nice and welcoming, Jesica is absolutely adorable and she made us feel right at home! My sister got her tattoo done by Cody and mine was done by Zane. Both guys did a great job making sure our tattoos were exactly how we wanted and we had a blast getting our tattoos done by them! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a welcoming, clean, professional, and most of all fun tattoo shop!

This place is AWESOME!!! AJ took a vision that I had for my tattoo and made it into something better than I could have imagined. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is looking for some excellent skin art done professionally and reasonably priced. Not to mention that the guys all seem to enjoy what they do and the atmosphere is comfortable and fun!

I visited Clean Slate Tattoo to see if I could receive assistance with a clean up on a piece that another artist started. I stopped the work because I was not comfortable with the artist’s response when I went back in to see if more could be done to the tattoo. Van the owner of Clean Slate has beautiful work and I spoke to Jessica at the front desk who was absolutely lovely. After visiting them I also spoke to a couple other artist. Overall, I was impressed with Van and his suggestions. I went in… work done. The color is beautiful and he also did a nice job shaping some of the background that seemed to abruptly stop. Van did a very nice job outlining the lotus flower; however, some parts of the background do not look right and there is a hard line by one of the petals that was not there to begin with. It just did not feel done to me. I started to play around with the piece in Photoshop to see if I could adjust the parts I don’t like into something I do. I will have to admit that my adjustments were… well let’s say desperate. I want to love my first tattoo which holds a lot of meaning for me. I called ahead to see if I could just talk to the artist and the individual that answered the phone said yes just come on in. I headed in with prints of my tattoo and just wanted to give a visual example of what was bothering me and if something could be done. When I arrived Van had just left. The artist that greeted me did apologize and spoke to me a bit about my extreme mockup. I guess what surprised me was that at the end of the conversation the artist said that I had to figure out what I wanted or they really could not do anything. That they could suggest things all day but ultimately I had to tell them what to do. He said go home look at images and see if I could figure out what I wanted. He said Van would be back in a couple hours and would have him call me when he got in. Well, that never happened. I needed an understanding of what can be done with the areas that I was not fond of. I have no understanding of ink application… I knew exactly what I did not like just not how to adjust it. Frustrated, I called around and went in to visit a third shop! They«picked my brain» regarding what I did like and did not. They took a look at the printout of the tattoo reflecting what the tattoo looks like right now. I then spoke to the owner who thought the lotus flower was good but that everything needed a lot more detail and needed to be sharper. He talked to me about reshaping the background which is my biggest issue. He had me sit down and look through his portfolio and show them what I like. He said at this point you never want to make it worse so he would draw directly on my back at the beginning of my session so that I can see where it is heading before any permeant work begins. Once we are both in agreement, that is when the work will begin. Well at this point I am hoping that the third time is the charm… the artist is booked solid until June. This shows me that he is in demand and a lot of people are willing to wait. This has been a very expensive learning experience.
