If you like hot dogs, this is the place to go. They have a lot of other items which looks good, but always get the Chicago Dogs and fries. Fries are some of the best.

It isn’t Portillos, nor should it be. If it was going to be– The beef tastes different, not sure what it’s missing, but it’s something. Bear in mind it’s still pretty good. The meat is definitely a little too thin sliced, so was the giardinera. The chunks of pepper and carrot are a big part of the Chicago sandwich. Also the oil. It should take more than one napkin and possibly a trip to the restroom to get the oil off your fingers. The heat on the hot stuff was perfect though. The bread is a little soft, they need to let them breathe. Right type of roll, just needs to stale up a bit. Fries were hot and crunchy, but not the thick cut fry you get at most Chicago joints. Chicago dog — they had poppy seed buns and sport peppers. Add everything else a Chicago dog should have, and they’re pretty hard to screw up. I’d eat here again, shame it’s in kind of a weird spot, but everything on this street seems to be.

In a city desperately lacking in classic Chicago fare this place was a gem. Had a beef sandwich and fries and it took me right back. The Jays potato chips pushed it from a four star to a five star review. This will definitely be a place I come back to.

Great«Italian Beef» sandwiches, good pork tenderloins. This is a «fast food» business day lunch joint with good food and fast service. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean and the food is good.

Nothing beats a chicago style dog! All the toppings were perfect on the jumbo dog. Location was accessible off Arapahoe and close to DTC. I would definitely go back!

Everybody needs to go and get Italian beefs. Lots of them. I could live off of those things. Staff is super friendly and it’s very clean. My favorite restaurant on the south side

Ridiculously amazing sandwich. I’ve had some terrible Italian beefs before where it was just roast beef that tasted like leather. This was so bomb! Fries were so so but that’s not why I came here. Calorie wise, this sandwich isn’t the worst thing in the world. No cheese def. helps save some cals!

I know they moved from their original location, but the new location is so much nicer. They have a nice patio and larger eating area. The great news is that everything still tastes delicious. I met one of the owners and she was very nice and welcoming. I always get the Original Chi Dog, this time it was the Jumbo. Friendly service and great food all around. If you are craving a Chi Dog this is your place. I will be back to try other menu items.

This place has the best Italian Beef sandwich in Denver, hands down. I’ve been to Mustard’s Last Stand(lacks flavor), Mile High Vienna Stand(a bit oily, not in a good way), Chicago’s(on Colfax, a little dryer) and Chicago Mike’s beats them all. Whatever they marinade the beef in, it is perfect! Their beef flavor is amazing, even if they don’t put enough on the sandwich. Their fries are pretty good too. They also have a tasty burger and hot dogs. If you are looking for that corner joint Chicago style feeling this is an excellent place to visit. Jose — who is normally behind the counter is one one of the most gracious and humble person I’ve seen. He’s good people and the owners should be happy they have him. The only complaint I have about the place is the price vs. the amount of food you get. Chicago’s is not cheap, even if it’s the day’s special. I think they would get a lot more customers if they brought their prices down a bit. Supposedly they serve pizza but I’ve never had it and this was an add on after the current owners purchased the place. Thank you for bringing a piece of home to Denver.

Listen I really want to eat at your place but you’re doing something basically wrong here. Put your beefs and fries in a basket for crying out loud. This little cardboard cup is ridiculous. Any self respecting Chicago beef joint uses a basket. Please. Thank you.

Wow! what a place. Beefs are amazing. make sure you get mozzarella and hot peppers. This place is a gem. In Chicago there’s one on every corner but here in Colorado it’s a hard find. Do not pass on this place.

Finally a DELI! Not some sissified soup & salad bar that happens to make sandwiches too. I’m admittedly spoiled on Weinberger’s back in Grapevine, TX, but this place wasn’t bad. The menu is REALLY sparse. No sandwich craftsmen here. My Reuben was smaller than I’m used to, but was well made. You do get the feeling that these guys understand Chicago style deli, even if the execution is not quite there. I’m giving them an extra star just for the smokey, seasoned grill smell that would make the soup & salad crowd cry in their bean sprouts.
