A neighbor of ours who recently moved to the neighborhood recommended Artistic Body Development South and said it has transformed her body! I started attending approx. 6 weeks ago and absolutely love it. The entire work out is on the reformer with tension springs and bands allowing you to go at your own level, I can already see and feel a difference. I had been practicing yoga for years prior my hip failing me at which time I had to stop everything including walking my dogs. I thought it would take forever to get back in to shape, but not the case with this particular method of pilate style exercise. The classes are1.5 hours and very reasonably priced. Kerry is an amazing instructor who really knows his stuff! I highly recommend Artistic Body Development South to any and all that are looking for core, back and overall strength building!

Whenever I’m home in CO, I LOVE going to this class with my mom on Saturday mornings! My mom calls it «pilates,» b/c it’s sort of complicated to explain what it is, but the last time I went, I grabbed a brochure, and here’s a description: «Myopatterning is a Pilates-based system of exercises designed to develop strength, fledibility, balance, and body placement. We work on core strength(abdominal and back), foot and ankle strength, hip stability, hamstring strength and flexibility, and upper body strength. We work on Reformer machines and can accommodate 15 people per class which makes classes easy to follow, fun to do, and cost effective. Your body can start to change and feel results after the first class.» I definitely recommend it! Unfortunately, I haven’t found something similar, nor cost-effective in SF… :(
