What a great experience! Starting going to Melodie for CO2 laser treatments. Love the results and am happy to have finally found someone who doesn’t try to over-inject Botox! She does great work and really takes her time and definitely doesn’t overdue it!

Melodie is nice enough and was good about sending reminders and directions to the location. However, I’ve been getting Botox injections for about two years now and have never had tenderness or bruising afterwards. I’ve been sore since the injection(three days now) even though I used ice right afterward. I’m disappointed. The price was good but I’d rather pay my plastic surgeon $ 10 per unit so I’m not sore every time I smile for several days afterwards. I’m concerned her technique needs work. :(

I purchased a groupon for Botox and called to make an appointment(BTW, they schedule botox appts all at once, so you have to make it to the salon on a specific day rather than when is convenient for you). Finally found a time that work work — a month later than I wanted and just barely before the groupon expired. I arrived about 5 minutes early, as I like to do and sat around in the waiting room for about 20 minutes with barely a «hello»(pet peeve of mine). The lady was nice enough and seemed to know what she was doing and I got my shots and left. About a week later I was still waiting for the botox to take effect. I was still waiting the following week when it was time to have my eyebrows waxed. I went to my usual lady who promptly said my eyebrows we out of line and different shapes(which I noticed but was in denial about). One eyebrow was raised and instead of arcing it jutted straight off my face. She tried to fix it as best she could and sent me on my way. That night at dinner, I told one of my friends about what had happened(she gets botox all the time). She told me most places who offer groupons for botox WATERITDOWN. The botox was so watered down that it didn’t work and I still have wrinkles, only she must have put more botox water above one eyebrow, because that eyebrow is screwed up. My friend is trying to convince me to call the salon manager — I’m seriously considering it. Long story short — if you want to pay quite a bit to have water injected into your face go to this salon. I feel completely ripped off. I am very laidback and the type of person who never complains, but I REALLY feel strongly about this — STAYAWAY from this terrible salon.

Posted just now: I’ve been going to Melodie at Abella Salon & Spa for years & love her & this spa! Everyone is very professional & fair. Melodie is always going above & beyond for clients & makes a significant effort to make each persons experience wonderful! They offer so many services & really exceed customers expectations! I recommended this spa to all of my friends! My boyfriend even frequents her spa & loves it! It is great for men! The staff is knowledgable about all things skin health, massage, botox, laser teeth whitening, airbrush tanning & laser hair removal. Not to mention, they carry my favorite products, like Ultra Pure cosmetics & skin care! I LOVE this place! Try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!

So I came to get a facial and partial massage from getting a deal on Weeklyplus as well as an eyebrow shaping. After finding the place parking was a little difficult because they share parking with a number of other buildings. The inside lobby is nice and so was the treatment room. I called a number of times and even though I left messages I finally had to email and ask them to call me back. Once I arrived the girl got me situated in the room but it was warm, she opened the window and it cooled off but it took her forever to get everything ready she didn’t have it preset up. I would think you’d make sure you were totally set up for the appointment. She did my eyebrows and they looked really great. She didn’t explain what she was doing threw each step of the facial which would have made me more comfortable and she was chomping on her gum. It was a nice facial but I don’t think I’d drive down there for another one anytime soon

I had either a Groupon or Living Social discount for six laser hair removal treatments. I used two of the six sessions and will not be returning to this establishment. Parking is lacking in general. The waiting area is very nice, and the treatment room was also very nice. The technician performing the procedure, the same gal both times, was professional and competent.(I have had laser hair removal for my underarms at another business) Reasons for two stars: 1. Timeliness of returned calls is not adequate or within the time period indicated in their message(even when I called on a weekday). Since there is not a receptionist, be prepared to wait longer than 24 hours for a response to an inquiry 2. Because the isn’t a receptionist, there is no appointment reminder. I used another business for eyelash tinting that the owner ran out off basement; she didn’t have a receptionist, but is able to provide appointment reminders via email. For a business that is in an actual office building(vs a private residence with their business in their basement), I expect an appointment reminder At my second appointment, I scheduled my third appointment. Because I have a varying work schedule and am not allowed to bring my smart phone into my work area, I use a «white berry»(paper weekly planner) that includes my work schedule and all appointments(both routine & non-routine). I know I recorded the date/time of the third appointment correctly, since I would be coming off a midnight shift and would have only a few hours of sleep. Unfortunately, the technician did not write the appointment down correctly in her paper appointment book. She had me down for the next day. There was no apology, and after waiting another five minutes for her to return to reschedule my appointment(which I had requested once is was told I was a day early), I left. I did not receive a call on the day/time of my «actual» appointment, with an apology and/or offer to reschedule. I understand it is technically my fault for missing this appointment, and if I had received a call offering me treatments four, five & six(with me absorbing the loss of treatment three), I would have gladly returned to this establishment. Since I was not afforded that opportunity and the fear of having this happen again, I have not returned and do not plan on returning.

Had my first airbrush tan with Melodie and absolutely loved it! She was awesome, and the studio was super cute. It’s in oasis in an office building setting… a diamond in the rough!

Yesterday, I went to Melodie, the owner of Abella, for a 1-hour hot rocks massage. Though the waiting area had a too-loud radio playing, the massage room was peaceful and very quiet. I’ve had many massages in my life but Melodie was up there in terms of skill. She was respectful if I wanted to be chatty or not talk at all. Plus, she tacked on a few extra minutes because I really needed it. Hoping to visit regularly!
