101 Mobility

My low-​incomed family needed this for my Father who was very ill and could not climb stairs due to him being weak from liver failure.
The 101 Mobility in Barnegat NJ was great at first. They installed the $ 3,500 chair lift right away. My Father was still in the hospital when they had installed it, and a week later he had passed away.
Now, never used. It sits in the way and as a reminder to my Mother of my Father’s passing and how he was unable to enjoy it.
We called 101 Mobility to ask them if they can refund us half. I mean, yes we will pay you for labor installing it, but its literally BRAND NEW never used. They said they will take off a few hundred but they wanted it back. WANTED IT BACK? So a few hundred off $ 3,500 now makes its about $ 3,000.
If we gave it back to you — why did we pay $ 3,000? Did it cost that much to install and un-​install?
My family is up to their ears in medical bills and my Mom has this $ 3,000 laundry basket lifter in her house.
I wish they gave us $ 2,500 back atleast and just kept the $ 1,000 for installing and un-​installing it. It’s literally brand new, you could have re-​sold it as brand new!
What a Scam. I hope this gets to corporate. Someone needs to reach out to my family and help us. I am very very very upset for my Mother especially who lives with it everyday and sees it as a reminder her husband of 45 years has died and she can’t use it. she is able to walk up no problem.
Disgrace.
If your loved one is dying, Please do not buy from this company because they do not do refunds even if its a few days old and was never used and not under any circumstance.
And if they took it back, even if we agreed to paying them $ 3,000 and they un-​install it I GUARANTEE you they would have sold it again as brand new and got another buyer to pay them another $ 3,500 for the same system.

I wanted to take a minute and write a follow up on my experience in working with the installation team. The two gentleman that came out to install my new lift were outstanding. They were highly professional, courteous, and took time to walk me through everything they were doing as the lift was installed. Furthermore, the Bruno lift they were sent was missing a simple cover plate and they were extremely responsive and offered to come out the next morning, even though that meant a significant drive when they already had a full day. Luckily I had flexibility and was able to push out the follow up visit so that it best served all parties involved. I want to make special note as to the fact that on their return visit they did some additional work for me that was not included in what I had purchased and it took them time they definitely didn’t have built into their bid. They took care of it at no cost and were just happy to have a pleased and satisfied customer on their hands. I must say, I couldn’t be happier in having dealt with this company. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs the type of products and services they offer.
