Excellent service and clean facilities. They keep things simple. Yet the service and facility are very good. If we’re ever in the cedarville area, we’ll definitely stop by hearthstone.

Excellent service. Gorgeous rooms. Made my mom and dad switch from their awful Ramada Inn hotel in Xenia to this gem. Worth every penny of the $ 30 difference. Feels just like home with Stuart and Ruth.

I stayed here for one night while biking across Ohio. This inn is only about a hundred feet from the bike path. There are a number of restaurants nearby and a laundromat across the street. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the staff are all friendly and helpful. They let me park my bike in the room(and you can rent bikes if you didn’t bring your own). The place has character that chain hotels do not have.

I cannot say enough how great the Hearthstone Inn is and how wonderful the owner and her staff are. My sisters and I planned a weekend get together in Yellow Springs and booked it six months ago. We are from Austin, TX, Wash DC and Lebanon, OH. When we arrived at the b&b we had booked, we found that they had double booked our room… booked out the whole place for a wedding party. We started calling around and finally hooked up with the Hearthstone Inn. We told them our story and the gave us a great room at a great rate. We love everything about this place. Thank you Hearthstone Inn for making our weekend the best ever!!!

WOW! So when I research a hotel online, I am always skeptical. My wife and I just moved to Xenia(Dayton) OH for her to serve at Wright Patterson AFB, however the furniture is going to be a few days and our apartment won’t be ready until Wednesday, which meant I needed to find a hotel for a three night stay that took our moderately sized pointer mix dog. I found Hearthstone online and said, «Well, Cedarville is just a few miles outside Xenia, and they DO takes pets so let’s stay there… the website looks nice». Let me go on record to say the website does not do the place justice, it is EVENBETTER! Firstly, when you see the building outside, it looks amazing, not clinical but almost like a house, step inside and you feel like you are staying at a quaint country inn. The place is immaculate, I mean immaculate. The lobby is well proportioned, arranged very cozy, and is unbelievable. The staff by the way is AMAZINGTOO! Beyond friendly and we were welcomed the minute we stepped to the desk. No stuffy uniforms or starchy corporate feel at all, casual dress and smiles all around. The room, the room, oh my goodness the ROOM!!! A five blade ceiling fan, FREE Wi-Fi which I am using before I even unpack, and SOCLEAN! I MEANBEYONDCLEAN, I feel comfortable walking barefoot here and I would even eat off of the floor. I have a pet peeve about hotels, when you first get into a room I always want to wash my hands, but you ALWAYS have to tear open some ridiculous bar of hand soap that is in a wrapper. NOTHERE! They have a wonderful and completely full pump with this wonderfully scented green hand soap and it is amazing. The bathroom doorway and the doorway to the hall have these beautiful wood accent pieces above the door that really accentuate the décor and from the wallpaper to the appointed towels and fixtures, the bathroom looks like someone’s house and NOTHING like a Hotel! I am impressed. We have a small refrigerator in the room, coffee maker with VERYNICE coffee brands, and aside from the single vanity and mirror in the bathroom there is ALSO a single vanity and mirror outside the bathroom. I could go on and on, but suffice to say after three days of driving from CA to OH and staying in corporate hotels along the way that treated our dog like an inconvenience, I can truly say that we have arrived home. Save yourself the trouble of renting a room in Dayton or Xenia, and make the short drive to Cedarville and relish in the Hearthstone Inn. You will not regret it! Simply unreal!

This place is an adorable Inn(not motel/hotel/shenanigans) run by a family. 20 rooms, all perfectly cleaned and prepped. Fantastic continental breakfast. Great service. And really close to Cedarville University. All around best hotel in the area.

Altogether, this was an excellent hotel. We stayed here for one night in December 2008 and wished we could have an excuse to stay an extra night. The beds were comfortable, the hosts were gracious, and even our late-night arrival and last-minute continental breakfast didn’t throw them off. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
