Wow where to start with this place… the food all tastes the same whether it’s fish, veggie burgers, eggs etc. The only thing that was halfway decent was the soup. The staff is frequently rude, and smirking, as if they were privy to some kind of weird inside joke. One particular waitress has a blunted affect and looks at you with souless eyes, leaving you to wonder if she just despises you, is depressed, or both. The coffee is only mediocre, and the«ambience» or vibe leaves much to be desired. Don’t let the cute name fool you, this place is not a cozy little coffee shop, but rather a noisy, rude, food mill, high-priced and poor value.

The food was pretty good however the gnats and little flys landing in the food all around me was not. How can there be gnats and flys this time of year.

I’m here on Saturday night with a group of friends and I am super surprised this restaurant has anything more then 1 star! There service here is the worst. There staff was extremely disrespectful, most of the food came out 30 minutes later and other food we needed to remind them multiple times and let’s not get to the drinks that never came! 10 minutes after we got our food they gave us the check so they can try to push us out. I know this is the kosher food way, but there is a limit of how bad you can treat your customers! I suggest you should go to sunflower café or some other places.

I live right around the corner, and I wish the service was better. There are not that many options either. It’s a Kosher area, so everything is mainly closed on Saturdays. I’ve only been to this place once, and it will be the last. Food was not tasty and the servers are not even happy to be there. At least fake a smile if you have to. My advise, go somewhere else.

Ok, honestly I was waiting something else. We went there after work on the first day they opened. It was around 6 pm, although the hours showed as until 8 pm, they were not letting people to even get in the line for entrance… It was my birthday so nice man watching the line let me be the last person in line. I was expecting more of a real version of the Central Perk however it was not like that. You can Not hang around there. You just go in, take free coffee, take picture on the couch and that’s pretty much it. I don’t know why I have imagined it the other way but it was a bit sad. But the décor and atmosphere was nice! However I don’t know if it would really worth waiting in line for more than 15 min!

It was 8:30am after a long red-eye. Came in parched and famished. Left quenched and full from a double espresso, beet and spinach juice and a bowl of oatmeal with strawberries. Nice, efficient server and the prices were ok too.

The service here was absolutely terrible. went here with my family waited over an hour to get our food. saw three tables come in, order, receive food and leave before we even got our first item. and they gave us the food one or two dishes at a time so that by the time the last person got their food the first person was done. the prices were very high considering the quality of the food. even the eggs were bad, which is rather impressive considering it took them an hour to make them. it even took them 30 min just to get us some coffee. The waiter kept apologizing while the manager looked on like he couldn’t care less that a table of people were clearly upset.

FYI, don’t expect the great service and don’ expect coffee will be good, they maybe made the mistake to give you cold coffee, lol. but it’s good for you and your friends to hangout there, and maybe get a date from there.

Our office loves to order from this place. True, service is slow and forgetful but one time they left out my dish from the delivery and the owner himself came by to drop it off. Space is beautiful and the location is near our HQ and most of our clientele. 3.5 stars.

The slowest service from any restaurant I have ever been to. Food is decent, but certainly not worth the wait, the price, or the small space you get to eat your food in. Stay away from this place at all costs.

This place outright sucks… if you are not«one of their own» don’t expect great service — they definitely tried to ignore us as much as possible and we got dirty looks from the wait staff and customers. Flys all over the place, I got my meal 10 mins before I got my drink and the wait staff is rude. Never coming here again! I’m a huge friends fan and to say this place is a huge disappointed would be an understatement. We even had to go to the register since they didn’t bring us our check – and even then they turned their back to us and tried to ignore us.

I read another person’s review where they said the service sucks«if you’re not ‘one of their own.’» Fortunately, for racism’s sake, this turns out not to be true because, unfortunately, I am «one of their own» and it sucked for me, too. Being kosher doesn’t mean you have to put up with abuse. There’s plenty of great, kosher coffee and light fare in the Cedarhurst vicinity. Cheaper and better, in fact, without being told they’re doing you a big fat favor, that you should appreciate whatever you get no matter what. I’ve decided to edit down my previous story to serve other readers, since none of «my own» have enough backbone to speak up. Businesses owe their customers good service, we don’t owe them anything until that service benefits us. We asked for the window table but he said only when he was done sorting his muffins. His muffins were apparently more important than his customers. He sat us at a 2 foot cocktail table and promised to notify us when the window table was ready. It was clear that the owner was not only overwhelmed, clumsy and careless with his service but eventually abusive and spiteful to a customer wanting to treat his kid to a moment of hot chocolate and coffee in ceramic mugs and two muffins. Is that so hard? We got chocolate and no muffins or coffee. When I eventually asked about my coffee, the owner discovered someone had left it sitting on a remote counter in a paper cup, so he took off the lid, poured it into a mug and said«sorry…Here you go.» Really? A fresh, hot cup would be so difficult? Maybe black, too, instead of brown mud… Cold, brown mud. The muffins? They were toasting, even though we didn’t ask for it. He eventually gave the window table to someone else. When we moved to a nicer table on our own, he got angry and told us to go back to the little table, which I wouldn’t do. He got louder, shouting«get up.» Teaching my son never to put up with being bullied, we got up and left without paying a red cent. The man was cursing me out as we left. Friends who saw it happen later commended me for doing the right thing and that their service was even worse as they had full meals there. I see that there are few reviews on this place. Speak up, people. No one deserves abuse, especially a customer. Even the 3.5-star review says they messed up the order(like they always seem to do) and the service is «slow & forgetful.» 3.5 stars? Some people just asked to be abused…

the name piqued my interest, service from wait staff is downright rude, but the wifi kept me from leaving. the coffee is decent. nothing else jumps out about this place.

Not a fan of this place at all… after going there multiple times with my orthodox friend I will not go back… the only thing I like here is the nachos for two… the service is bad, the place is loud and the food is tasteless. definitely not worth the price… I frequent much better kosher restaurants in the five towns…

its was lunch time, we needed kosher food, in this Jewish neighborhood there are a few choices. I have been here before they changed the menu as of my most recent visit 8÷15÷2011, packed with people very loud place small cramped table, a few tables out back out side,(nice addition if you ask me) you can get a muffin a coffee and a salad or one of their hot sandwiches like the falafel wrap, WRAP? to me a falafel belongs in a pita, the food is ok, the service is just ok, and the prices seem high but then again everything in this town is over priced. One other thing metered street parking just does not appeal to me

Cute place, the shape is a little weird which makes for seating that can feel a little cramped,(at least if you have a stroller) Service was good, nice, food was good and the portions weren’t skimpy. Also they use fun coffee house glasses :)

I was pretty excited to come here since I first discovered it last summer actually when I used to have to take a bicycle ride to my bank before I switched to a bank closer to me. I had time today in between a split shift at work, so after making lunch at home I decided to take a walk and try this place out. My drink was alright, extremely sweet, I chose a mocha with an extra shot of espresso. I also have a muffin which I haven’t eaten yet, and a snapple iced tea which is pretty much the same from wherever you get it. I didn’t really like the atmosphere too much and when I visit a coffee house, I’m there for my love of coffee but also for the atmosphere as well as being able to relax. I felt like I couldn’t really sit down and relax there which is probably why I wasn’t so crazy about it. The employees were playing latin music from a radio station, latin music is fine, it can be fun and for some reason I’ve heard it in starbucks before and it worked for them, but it didn’t really work for this place, I think because starbucks has it on a lower volume. The others customers were a bit noisy and somewhat rude and pushy to the employees so that also helped deaden the potential greatness of this place for me as well. The seating was okay, sort of random. There was a nice long couch with two tables and chairs in the front left of the café, and then regular lunch/dinner tables scattered throughout the rest of the café. It looked like there could be outdoor seating in the back but they may have put seats away for the winter season. So far of the few coffee shops I’ve visited since it’s been my mission to hunt around and review coffee shops this is my least favorite. I would go back to the spoon, witches brew and babylon bean, but if I come back here it’s going to be a forced come back with one of my girlfriends who would like to check it out or with my boyfriend if he really would like to go.
