Aurora Health Center

Recently I sustained blunt trauma secondary to a bicycling accident near Grafton, WI. Fortunately for me, I was taken to Aurora Medical Center. Their new facility on Port Washington Rd. is where I had the good fortune to meet Dr Pamela Krol and my nurse, Guy. In fact, everyone with whom I had contact as a patient exhibited the utmost professionalism and empathy. Being a nurse myself, I am grateful to the caring team at Aurora and I’m pleased to say that I’m doing well-​thanks to their attentive care!

Last weekend, my son and I took a road trip adventure to my parents in Milwaukee/​Ozaukee County. Our trip started off pretty normal, nothing exciting. I should have known that my little dude was sick when he slept most of the way. He’s not a car sleeping toddler.
After getting to Milwaukee, my little dude just didn’t act his usual happy self. For a little guy, he can run and run until he falls asleep. He didn’t want to eat, wanting tons of snuggles and sleep. Hoping that an early bedtime would help, he slept most of the night. When he woke up on Saturday, he still wasn’t his fun loving, eating tons of food toddler I know. I knew something just wasn’t right, we headed over to the walk in clinic.
The walk in clinic is fantastic. When we arrived, we were second in line behind someone else. The receptionist helped us fill out the paperwork as I had a toddler wanting to be held ²⁴⁄₇. Since it was in network for us, we had a small co-​pay. We waited for about 15 minutes until we saw the doctor. The walk in clinic is new, bright, big, and clean. The exam room, one of many, were well equipped. They put us in the baby one (basically with a baby scale). For a Saturday afternoon, there was one doctor and one nurse on staff. The doctor examined my little dude to discover that he had his first double ear infection. He prescribed antibiotics and encouraged us to push fluids. In less than a hour, we knew what was bugging my little dude.
If other health issues come up with my little one while visiting family, we’ll come here. We received great service and are now in their system to make visits easier.
