I have visited this location on a handful of occasions. Most recently(2011) when I cut my thumb open on a microwave and required 10 stitches. Going here was much, much cheaper than a trip to the ER. I got in to see the Dr. quickly and overall had a positive experience. I returned about 2 weeks later to have the stiches removed for free. I received the same, if not better service here than I would have at an ER. Would return here again if I were in the area and required immediate attention.

I’m almost always in Iowa to spend time with medical professionals, normally it’s not for my own care though. Unfortunately this trip I needed some medical attention.(Seriously, when do I not need attention in one form or another?!) I had a surgical incision I was afraid was infected and with another week and a half in Iowa I couldn’t get to my own doctor. After giving the not so friendly lady at the front desk all my information I sat down to wait. I only got through 3 pages on my kindle before my name was called. A very friendly and professional doctor assessed my poor wound and wrote me a couple prescriptions. The entire visit only took about 40 minutes, not too bad for a walk in. They take most major insurance plans, I only paid my normal $ 15PCP copay. Had I gone to an emergency room(the next best option when out of town) I would’ve waited quite a bit longer and paid at least $ 75. There are at least two St Lukes Urgent Care Centers in CR, this one on the southwest side and one in Marion that I know of. Both are great options if you can’t get in to see your regular physician and are in need of some urgent care.
