Went there last night and the place was packed. They had a comic show with Comedian Joel Lindley. The service was great and prices were not bad. The dueling pianos was really funny. They really involved the audience alot and were funny themselves. They had a room for pool players and a room for gamers. Great place to hang out! I would go again!

On the weekdays, this is a classy lounge with a great atmosphere. A good place for conversation and a nice selection behind the bar. However, on the weekends, it turns into a trashy frat party — full of drunken bachelorette party chicks, music so loud you can’t talk and most of the seating is reserved, so you have to sit in one of the really uncomfortable bar stools. And once you have seen one dueling piano show, you’ve seen them all. Nothing really changes from weekend to weekend. Update: now when Penguins has a comedy show there, even if you don’t go to the show, you have to pay a cover just to have access to the attached bar next door. Screw that.

Thanksgiving night at the lounge was a pretty great time! Prolly because Timothy Tebbe the roaming noam was putting it down! Then Matt rissi came on the close it out! Drinks where good and the crowd was great! It was a lot better then it had been in the past. Not sure I would go back unless I went to another show there.

I wasn’t impressed. 9 o’clock on a Friday night, they are dead. 9:30 on a Friday night; dead. 10 on a Friday night; still dead. No thanks. The piano music was good, but not great. Definitely not worth the time. The service was pretty good, they seemed a little bored. Probably because there were only 5 people to wait on in the entire place.

Funny piano dudes, cheaps drinks and lot’s of bachelorette parties, all things I have no problems with. This under ground establishment provided a great place to gather with family and friends. The $ 5 cover was not asking too much and the tequila was cold and plentiful. The bar staff was a little inconsistent, attentive at times and down right neglectful at times, pick your favorite bartender and stick with them through out the night. I like that this bar was split in two, if you grow tired of the piano mans antics you can go through the glass doors to the other side of the bar that has a completely different vibe, with juke box music, pool tables, and a GIANT screen tv lounge with Wii hooked up so you can get drunk and challenge you friends to a little gaming! Hey it’s IOWA and this place was actually really fun, four stars from me!

I found the atmosphere by far the best in the area as well as the cocktails. The staff was attentive. When I got bored with the piano player I went to the other side and played wii on a projection TV. Then a little pool and caught ESPN. The dueling guys were funny and my night was a blast. I’m making this my regular hang out.
