Really good coffe is hard to find. Matching it with good service is even harder. This place has both with ample seating — they even have a room for meetings.

Absolutely gorgeous little coffee shop. Huge and spacious, and I fell in love with the lighting for the coffee prep area — I hope the employees really appreciate that as it’s so open and spacious back there.
Lots of tables to choose from — including outdoor seating. I’d actually be surprised if there was ever a shortage of tables. Despite that, the location is really open, and I never felt like I was squished against other people or in the way like I have at other smaller places. The décor has been really nicely done, and it’s clear that this was just recently built.
Good coffee too. I was a bit surprised to see that they had to pull out a short paper list of their flavors when I inquired about their flavor syrup options (instead of having them listed on the menu), but it does keep the menu looking clean. They offer a blended/​chilled sugar-​free mocha drink that tastes pretty good. Alongside the standard coffee options, they have chilled drinks, teas, and other things. I imagine virtually anyone (including coffee haters) could find something they enjoy here.
Pricing falls in the typical coffee-​shop pricing. Expect $ 4-​$ 6 for most of the specialty drinks. If you want to peruse ahead of time, Coffeesmiths does have the menu online on their website:

I like this place a lot. The staff is always pretty friendly, there is all kinds of seating — booths, tables, banks, outdoor — and plenty of parking. Sandwiches are pretty good. Coffee is great.

I love a good dark roast. Theirs is not what I even consider dark. Had to add a shot of expresso. Disappointing. Their food is good tho.

Always very fast and friendly service. Very reasonably priced, and the rewards program helps. Plenty of drink options to choose from, and the interior is very well laid out. I usually stop a few times a week versus stopping at the other coffee shop just across the road.

A new location for the locally owned Coffee House chain. This new south west side location is in the brand new mini mall next to West Dale Mall next to the University of Iowa Credit Union. This location has free wifi and a meeting room. Service is fast and they do have a rewards program.
