This place is awesome! Get the Bobbie… it’s a one of a kind sandwich that definitely fills you up. A little bit of holiday any time of the year!

Still giving it 5 star because the food it awesome but… Service at 42nd street definitely not as good as 1st ave. Older lady that worked at 42nd street didn’t know the difference between a cup or a bowl of soup. And then proceeded to argue about it… smh

The Bobbi definitely lives up to its reputation as the finest sandwich ever created– wow! Mitch told me to get it with the turkey and stuffing warmed up and I’m glad I did. The 9″ was enough for dinner and then lunch the next day– it was equally good the next day too!

This place has the best Pastrami sandwich, its huge and delicious, the amount of pastrami in the sandwich is perfect with the coleslaw, just thinking about it makes me feel hungry.

Pretty decent sandwich with turkey meat and stuffing. It is really filling. The cranberry sauce is the best.

The place was incredibly gross. The bathroom floor was so sticky, my shoes stuck to the other floors and the sidewalk for an hour after our visit. The bathroom smelled like a latrine. Then, because there were 0 clean tables, I asked if someone could clean them. Ours was cleaned, the gal moved on to clean two more, then dropped the rag on the floor and proceeded to clean another table with the same rag. Ewwww! I said, «You didn’t just do that…» So she just stopped cleaning any of them and went to the back. It’s clear no responsible person was working in that store on that day(Saturday, Aug 22, 2015) to manage the kids. I fear what other incredibly gross health and safety habits lurk. The food was good. No doubt about it. But the rest of the place put the food in the back seat(which probably hadn’t been cleaned either).

Looking for a light dinner option, I tried this sandwich shop. Based on reviews, I was prepared to order a medium but glad i opted for the small. The dressing is imperative(sweet peppers, mustard, etc…) because for me the protein was lacking. It filled me up.

Excellent! Been there many times and tried several different subs, haven’t had a bad one yet. You won’t go back to scumway or any other sub shop.

Make that small combo north of $ 11 now. Sandwich getting smaller and more expensive… bad trend

Great sandwich for ANY city. If you are a non meat eater — the veggie sandwich selections are great, and something unique compared to larger chain franchises.

The meat and bread is amazing. But do be warned. If you get a sandwich with Cole slaw, eat fast or the bread turns to mush.

We took our two teenagers for our first visit. Had varied sandwiches, all of which were very good. I had the cheese steak; best that I’ve had since being in Philly. Meat substitutes were reportedly excellent. Water was soda water, a nice touch. We will be going back for more! Bonus: Very clean restrooms.

The«capastrami» is the BEST hot pastrami in Cedar Rapids, and not just because it’s the ONLY one! It’s a little taste of NYC or old Montréal — from the smoked meat to the coleslaw on top. One time at Schwartz’ Delicatessen in Montréal, QC a guy at the counter next to me eating a sandwich just like the capastrami told me: «…this is pretty much how I picture heaven.» Capriotti’s is the closest you’ll get to that experience in CR. Highly recommended.

Pretty good — clean, friendly service, and good vegetarian options. A little disappointed in the Cap’s Salad I had. Just bagged salad with toppings. Wasn’t bad, but I could have easily thrown that together at home. My fiancé liked his sandwich though and I’d like to go back and try the veggie philly!

Love the food, friendly service, and value. Order at least a medium sub so you can eat half now and eat half later. Families can order a large and it will feed 4. My favorite is the Italian sausage sub with grilled peppers, mushrooms, and onions added. So good. Second favorite is the Cole Turkey.

I had a lunch order catered by Capriotti’s for 20 people. They were very prompt and helpful. I had the Italian, the Turkey, the Roast Beef and the Slaw on the Jo. It was commented several times that the roast beef on the two sandwiches were some of the best that they ever had. I totally agree. The condiments with the sandwiches were amazing. In addition to mayo, mustard and pickles, there were hot peppers(giardinera) and a spicy pickled something. So good! I also got the cookie tray and the cookies were soft and delicious! Great sandwich place!

I ordered the hot Italian which is my sandwich to judge all others by. You know what I mean? We all have that one thing we judge a place by. It’s salsa at a Mexican place for me. Anyway, the place is nice and clean inside. And the soda machine being at the end of the counter let me see the employee cutting the chocolate chip cookie brownies so I went back and ordered one. This is a good little sandwich place I recommend.

Well first off, it’s great to have another sandwich shop in town, always a good thing. I have stopped here twice and both times I had great service. about a 5 min wait. And have been pleased both times. The one thing you have to love about this place is the homemade aspect of it. These sandwiches taste to me like something you would make at home. The turkey is hand chunked turkey like thanksgiving turkey not sliced which is a home run in my book. I also like that you can get any of there sandwiches on either sliced bread or sub bread. I ended up ordering the cole turkey sub. It was hand chunked turkey topped with cole slaw, thousand island dressing, mayo on a soft sub bun. It was great! I have also tried the Philly cheesesteak and that too tasted amazing! I have yet to try the«Bobbie» but I will return soon to try it out. The prices are a bit high but it’s a quality sub and they are huge! 18″ so you really do get what you pay for. And as a fellow Unilocaler stated. What’s the deal with all the wrapping paper? I was with three people and by the time we got all our sandwiches unwrapped the table was overflowing with paper! It was like Christmas morning for gods sake… The sandwich is traveling 10 ft! Your not shipping it UPS
