Alamo Rent A Car

I received a last minute deal at, go figure, the last minute after our car started having some issues and we had been planning for 6 months a trip 6 hours away. Everything went smoothly with the Alamo reps, we did have some issues with the vehicle not having been very well cleaned after the last renter and the windows fogging excessively (pretty sure it was an issue with a chemical used to clean the windows) and the rep took care of us and offered her apologies. It was a nice interaction and a good price for what we received.

Update: I called to get my $ 154 credit that was charged to my card. The customer service representative said that I had damage to a car I rented from enterprise 9 years ago. I had returned the car and it was accepted in good order. Two days later I received a phone call that there was damage but I was not allowed to see it and they wanted $ 700. Since I wasnt allowed to see it, I wasn’t going to pay for it and when enterprise, national, and alamo merged, I was placed on a do not rent to list with all 3 companies. It’s fine that they don’t want my money, but to charge my card and leave me stranded at an airport 1500 miles from home at 11:30pm is unacceptable. I have since cancelled to more reservations with alamo and rebooked with hertz. They had a car for me the next dat and saved me $ 22 per day with the insurance. By not using alimo I will save over $ 150.

I would just like to thank the staff at this Avis location for finding my wedding band. I rented a car here and was pleased with the service overall. While removing a car seat from the rental, I must have had my ring slip off my finger. After realizing it was missing from my hand I contacted Avis and they said they would look for it and let me know if they find it. They called me the next morning to tell me they had searched the whole car and even took out the seats but did not find it. Then I get another call an hour later and they let me know that one of the crew members was looking in the parking lot and found it in a snow drift! That’s amazing. They Fed Exed it out to me in Los Angeles that day and I got it today. I’m really relieved and so is my wife. Thanks guys!
