Never been inside before, always done the drive thru. Never had any problems, until I went inside. Extremely snide and«polite» when placing my order. Limited menu that isn’t communicated via their website that goes by your zip code and closest franchise. Looked at me like an idiot when I asked for a sandwich that was on their website local menu but not on the screen at the actual location. Point being, great food, terrible attitude that needs a lot of work.

Schlotzsky’s is a reliable fast place. I’ve been eating there for a great many years and at all different locations in Austin and elsewhere. Consistently good. This location in Cedar Park is extra-hip! Cool new décor and a really nice outdoor sitting area. With good weather, it’ll be a nice place to hang and throw down a sandwich. Did you know you can still get rye bread at this place? I always order it and about half the time the person taking the order gives me a «huh?» look. So I’m thinking not too many people order it. It’s great bread and not too strong. And I’ve recently started putting their hot sauce on the sandwiches. Wow. Great kick and great flavor(not just HOT). Give it a try if you haven’t.

Their food is amazing. Whether it is a sandwhich, pizza, or now the newly added pastas; they taste amazing. My all time favorite thing is their turkey original sandwhich. It is the best sandwhich in my opinion. The price is a bit higher than most fast food but the quality increases with the price and it always tastes fresh when I go. It is so so good!

One thing I’m starting to notice about Austin, or surrounding areas is that people In food service are not the most friendly and maybe they’ve just dealt with too many complaining out of towners… But I like to consider myself a friendly and smiling patron and it frustrates me that food service people just assume the patrons know everything walking in and that they can’t use common sense to help assist? Or maybe this is a big joke played on newcomers? See we have schlotzkys in Cali, but the last time I went was years ago. So when I saw it here in Cedar Park, I was super excited. My husband and I came here with my son. We ordered our sandwiches and the girl at the counter asked what size. I said…(Assuming small, medium, and large was for one person) that I would like a large. My husband also ordered a large and then she asked if I wanted chips as if my sandwich is normal sized and I would need a side with it… So I got a side of pasta salad instead. Then my son got a kids meal. The cashier Asked if we were eating in or taking it to go. We said eating in. Now I’m no genius but these sandwiches arrived with two plates each. They were both about 10 inches across and 3 inches high! There was no way we could eat more than half. Why would the cashier not mention the size? Especially since we ordered the same sandwich and after both eating half we had an entire one left? Food was good still and I stole some hot sauce to make up for my own embarrassment. I’m gonna need it on the rest of this enormous sandwich and pasta! I mentioned this to my friend back home and she even confirmed there’s no sandwich this large at the schlotzkys back home. Chalk it up to everything being bigger in Texas, I guess.

I have been to this location a lot, not im not discrediting their food, I love Schlotzsky’s. but the last time I went I had my 2 year old niece with me. She needed her diaper changed, so I went to go change her in the bathroom, only to find out THEREISNOCHANGINGTABLE. Now i’m not a parent, but this really pissed me off. I had to go to the HOT car and change her in there. but like I sad other than that, this place is great

My family and I use to enjoy Schlotzskys, now there food quality is sub par. The portions vs cost is ridiculous. My son dislikes the new kids pizza. Firehouse Subs is far better. The only good things is the pecan cinnamon rolls.

I always get the fresh veggie sandwich and jalapeño chips. It hits the spot. I also love the fact that they are giving out free coffee right now. It is very good coffee too. Perfect for the winter!

This Schlotzkey’s has the most respectful, polite young women working there that I have ever encountered in a restaurant. They are extremely helpful and pleasant. The facility is clean and simply decorated with a cow motif. Restrooms are accessible and are also clean. The salads and soups are quite good. I had chicken salad with cranberries, apples and mixed lettuces and all was fresh and yummy. I also had the tomato soup which had pesto and a sprinkling of cheese on top. My friend had the Southwestern Chicken salad that had tortilla strips, corn, beans, onion and shredded cheese… also good. Her soup was chicken and rice and it was thick, more like a stew, but very tasty. Both were served with a piece of toasted bread. Today was a two for one day so we got a fabulous piece of chocolate cake plus a free slice of carrot cake… both huge! This is not a fancy place and you’ll never find a Michelin star, but it is simple, substantial food.

I haven’t been to a Schlotzsky’s in at least a year and stopped going frequently many years ago when they changed company wide from yummy kettle chips to the just below average regular style chips they now carry. Despite knowing my chip tastebuds wouldn’t be satisfied, I was craving an Original sandwich so gave it a go. They answered the drive-thru promptly and the lady was very nice and easy to understand so plus for that. There was one car in front of me and apparently they had a larger order including a pizza which took longer to make. This caused me a several minute wait in the drive-thru line. The drive-thru is not wide enough where they can tell people with orders like this to pull forward and then start servicing the rest of the people in line. Once the people in front of me left and I got to the window my order was ready to go and accurate so I know they were quick and on top of everything inside. It’s just purely luck of the draw who you get behind in the drive-thru line and unfortunately this drive-thru is not constructed in a way to keep the line moving. The sandwich itself is just what I remembered. It had a good variety of flavors and the fact that it is heated brings out the flavors even more. My tastebuds aren’t happy about the chips still but overall it was a good meal and good service and I think this location is fine to visit when a Schlotzsky’s craving hits.

This Schlotzky’s is consistently good. I think it’s a little speedy for what you get, but will do in a pinch.

Stopped in for lunch today and thought we’d see what the place was all about. The sandwhich and salad we had were good, nothing amazing. The location convenient and the staff friendly. It’s basically a step above a quiznos or subway if you’re looking for a lunch location in the area.

Giving a 3 because the food is consistently good. Kind of wanted to rate it lower though — just because if you get it in the drive through, expect for some things in your order to be left behind. Then when you are already home and call to complain their way to «make it right» is to offer, next time you come in you can have those items for free. Ummm they aren’t free if i just paid for them and didn’t receive them? This has happened on more than one occasion.

I am not sure why others have an issue with Schlotzyky’s. I have yet to experience bad service and our sandwiches are always yummy. My son is sold on the sandwiches because of the bread. I really like other sandwich places too but this one is always on the top of my list. I always get the original and today my son tried the Windy City(Pastrami on rye) — fantastic!

I normally would not write a review on Schlotzsky’s. it appears they have hired Unilocal to post reminders for Unilocal reviewers to write a review. I do not eat at Schlotzsky’s simply because the bread is chewy like a sponge. Simply nasty to my taste buds. I have tried their food several times due to my company orders from there for our lunches. I only eat it due to no other option, which provides me a constant reminder not to eat there by choice. I guess that’s why there is different flavors ice cream. Choices.

I was first introduced to Schlotzsky’s when I moved to Texas. The buns made it unique and the meat was packed in to make it a decent sandwich. Years rolled by and it tasted like they changed the bun recipe. It wasn’t as good as I remembered. Next there came a decrease in the filling, so I switched to their Thai pizza. I loved this interesting take on pizza. It contained lots of diced chicken, veggies and a distinctive sauce which made it full of flavor. Fast forward to a week ago, I watched a Schlotzsky’s commercial on their pastrami on a rye bun sandwich. Why not give it a try? Well, I’ll tell you why not! No flavor! The bun did not taste like rye, actually it had no flavor. The pastrami was just plain bland. If there was mustard on it, I couldn’t taste it. Even adding more mustard and seasoning didn’t help. Waste of a sandwich. No problem, I also ordered a Thai pizza as a backup. Opened up the pizza box and found three chicken tenders laying across the pizza in a pinwheel pattern. Seriously, if you picked up a slice with the tender it would fall off. So there I am pealing the chicken off the pizza to dice it and scatter it evenly on the pizza. The taste was good but it irked me so much having to chop my own chicken to make the pizza edible. Sorry, Schlotzsky’s, I am no longer a fan of yours.
