Hot Dog On a Stick

Was shopping the mall with my son and decided to grab a corn dog, cherry lemonade and try the cheese stick.
The Spicy Jack cheese is awesome. SO good I advise you get 1 for everyone in your group DO NOT SHARE because it goes to quickly!
As usual the corn dogs are great and the Cherry Lemonade is so good here that I bought a refillable cup so I can get more the next time i come.
The customer service was great and makes me look forward to revisiting Lakeline mall.

Today was the best day all week. Why you ask? I found an unexpected new Hot Dog on a Stick stand. I’ve been in Austin 1.5 years now and this is the very first one I have seen here. YES!!! I love this place for the food and so many memories of growing up.
The menu is simple, but delicious! Everything tastes like amazing county fair food. Here’s what they have:
–The namesake Hot Dog on a Stick is an amazing corn dog. You can go with the original turkey dog or upgrade to a Nathan’s beef dog. Both are delicious and yummy, so you can go wrong.
–Cheese on a Stick is fantastic as well. You can pick American or Pepper Jack cheese that is dipped in the yummy batter and deep fried. When you bite into this piece of heaven, you find liquified cheese. Yes, it tastes as amazing as it sounds.
–Funnel cake sticks! Instead of a huge funnel disc cake, these are smaller and so much easier to handle and enjoy. They are beautifully deep fried pieces of edible bliss.
–French fries! They aren’t anything special and are just regular fries, but they are always fried perfectly with perfect texture. I can’t ever not order fries when I get Hot Dog on a Stick.
–Lemonade! I love love love the lemonade from Hot Dog on a Stick. They have regular, cherry, and lime lemonade. They all taste delightful but I favor the lime lemonade.
The customer service is also great here. For mainly being staffed by cute, young high schoolers, you get good service all of the time. They are always friendly and smiling and legitamitally seem happy to help you. Yay for good customer service.
So, yes, I Love Hot Dog on a Stick. If you need a snack or a full meal of deep fried heaven, this is your place. Yumtastic!

The wait is a bit long but worth it. Little piece of nostalgia minus the short shorts and lemonade pumping.

This little gem is in Lakeline Mall. I walk up and was greeted with a smile. She asked if I’d been there, I said no and she gave me a run down and offered me free lemonade samples. It was refreshing but I passed. I came for fried stuff on a stick.
Hubbie and I each got a beef hot dog and cheese on a stick. They are hand dipped and fried right in front of you. The corn dog was devine! The batter was crispy and slightly sweet. The cheese on a stick was good too. It reminded me of a grilled cheese but even better with that sweet corn meal batter.
They’ve got funnel cake sticks I want to try. I’ll be back for sure!

Yes it’s true they only have corn dogs cheese dogs and lemonade. But this place brings back those child hood memories of going to the mall as a kid and having a good old fashioned simple corn dog with the family. This is the only one in Austin and its long over due. No the super trendy Unilocalers probably won’t like this place but oh well we can’t all eat high end food all day ! I’d suggest the pepper jack dog and cherry lemonade hits the spot.
