I went in today and got their buffet, the guy at the front counter was awesome asked me if I had a request even though they were obviously busy, and got it out in no time. Everything was great employees were friendly, energetic and made sure my dining expirence was a great one. There was one moment when a man who I’m guessing was the owner or manager came in and started yelling at some of the employees loud enough to where I could hear and understand what he was saying. After the employees are working their butts off to make sure every customer is happy, my advice is whoever he is, he needs to take it down a couple notches. Will definitely go again.

We(our family of 6) have frequented this Double Dave’s since 2009, and have always enjoyed it. However, the last 4 or 5 times we’ve eaten there, we have been sorely disappointed. We were sad when they took the hard-boiled eggs off the salad bar, but that’s forgivable. What isn’t though, is not keeping up with the buffet. There are always gaps in the even, consistent distribution of food. I’ve had to ask almost every trip for the lettuce at the salad bar to be replenished, and the last three trips, we’ve requested our favorite Alfredo pizza to no avail. We asked the cashier, and subsequently the bus person and never saw the pizza brought out in the hour we were there. It always seems understaffed, and no one there looks to be over 20. Something has changed; the tight ship has sunk, and we won’t be back as often.

All you can eat buffet… salad bar, pizza, drink and dessert. Most definitely not Paleo(if you don’t know Paleo better wake up and get with it) but it’s a great bargain. Pizza is ok… however service and environment is friendly and family oriented with wild décor. Great place for a quick bite for lunch. Buffet is offered from 11am until 2pm everyday.

The best pizza I have ever had! I go twice a week but had to recently only do delivery. The staff is so sweet the brunette girl that was there about a month ago always had my order on the screen before I even got to the register. She’s always really sweet and when you ask for a draft beer if you haven’t had their top seller she always gives you a sample.

Don’t bother with this location if you want delivery. There are just too many good pizza places in the area now that want to deliver a good product and good service. We loved the Double Dave’s on Metric but this place just stinks. I know its seems trite but how hard is it to deliver pizza and bring parmesan cheese? We order about once a month from these folks and are 0 for 17 on bringing cheese and peppers. On every order– on the phone or internet, we are explicit to please have the driver bring cheese. In fact we are overly explicit about it every time. And every time they fail. BUTWESHOULDN’T HAVETOBE! You’re a pizza delivery guy for crying out loud. It’s basic. Its so simple, but so important. Have you ever had Chinese food delivered without soy sauce? Never. You don’t even ask. Its just part of the business. Its the same guy delivering half the time. And he either doesn’t have any or «gave it all to the last house». I still tip him $ 5 for one pizza and a half mile drive to my place. The delivery driver clearly does not care a bit, so its likely the management is the same. Its like a joke to them or something. I’m sorry but its how I enjoy my pizza and since they can’t keep a box of parmesan cheese in the delivery driver’s car, they can’t deliver what I ordered. So I ordered my last from them last night. Call up Pieology or Local Slice. Great food and great service. Either way call one of the other five dozen pizza places in the market. Not these guys.

Pros: Salad bar was pretty good. Lots of variety and very fresh. They were very quick at refilling the buffet. The buffalo pizza was really good. I like how you can make requests. The chocolate chip dessert pizza was amazing!!! Cons: The crust on the pizza is not very good. My kids and I left a HUGE plate full of crusts because they didn’t taste good. Not a fan of the pizza rolls or whatever they are called. None of us actually liked them. Not very flavorful. The other dessert ones that were suppose to have filling, weren’t very filled. There wasn’t much of a variety on the buffet. It was also a bit pricey. The restaurant was big and the buffet was small. If you request something on the buffet, it might be gone before you know it’s there. I think we will stick to CiCi’s for the price and variety.

I had the buffet today, I don’t no why I continue to go back, but was in the gotta have a pizza buffet mood, and pizza hut closed there buffet, bad move on there part, but today DD was extra bad, on top of the normally slow pizza refill on the buffet, they had no ice, ice machine was broken, any good manager would have sent someone to the store to buy some bags of ice, but no, and they don’t tell you when your paying, I found out when I went to get my soda, and the soda was hot, and they didn’t even offer to take the price of the drink off there already high buffet price. Never again.

Pizza is always good. The buffet is awesome and their pepperoni rolls are delicious. Sometimes the crowds during buffet hours can wipe the selection out and it takes awhile to refill. My kids love the pizza and playing on the few games they have in the back.

DOUBLEDAVE’S PIZZA leaves us DOUBLYDISGUSTED. Forced by Unilocal to give you 1 star which I feel will only leave you with the attitude that your service is good enough… when in reality you aren’t. NEVEREVERAGAIN!!! This place is absolutely ridiculous! We had purchased a coupon book from a friend & we were told that this place has THEBEST pizza. Well we couldn’t tell you if that in fact were true because we NEVER received our delivery order! First mistake… placing an online order. Filled out all information needed. Came time to enter my coupon which was a free order of pizza rolls with a purchase of ANY Big Dave’s pizza. After entering my credit card info & all the other«required fields» there was an «enter your coupon here» field. Anyhow, there wasn’t anything to choose from or # to enter so I basically just entered the information that was on the coupon into that field. I click on the next tab to review my order & no where on there did it show my coupon, so I go back & enter the info again. And yet again the coupon doesn’t show up. So I’m thinking maybe because it’s free it wouldn’t be labeled on my part. We decided to call & make sure they had all the correct info & had our coupon info as well. The guy tells us the coupon wasn’t entered but that he will do it manually for us & our pizza should be delivered in 40 – 45 mins.(Order placed @ 12:19pm) 1:00pm comes & no pizza. We call them 3 – 4 times & there’s no answer. They FINALLY decide to answer their phone at exactly 1:30pm. ??? So we ask them why our order was taking so long for only 1 pizza &1 order of pizza rolls. The guy asks for our info & informs us that our order was canceled. Apparently when we called to confirm our online order instead of confirming the order on their side the guy canceled it. We asked why was it canceled when we just called to confirm the coupon. The guy(not customer oriented at all obviously) just says, «well I don’t, but do you want to go ahead & reorder your order?» SERIOUSLY??? Why in the world would I do that? We should have just stuck to our usual Marco’s Pizza… they have never steered us wrong. They always have great customer service, pizza is always delivered hot, delivery guys are always on time & kind, the pizzas always delicious, awesomely flavorful & cooked just the way we like it. Marco’s Pizza in our opinion has been the best pizza in our area. Double Dave’s Pizza only made us Double Back to Marco’s. Double Dave employees need to double up on common curtesy & common sense. I seriously don’t know how you guys are still in business from all the customer complaints, not only dissatisfied on Unilocal but all over. WARNINGTOALLWHOWANTTOPLACEANONLINEORCALLINORDERHERE! So disappointed. Loved Double Daves in Austin. Just moved to the area and thrilled they delivered. Pizza was cold. Thin crust not crunchy. Hardly any cheese or pepperoni in the pepperoni rolls. Austin locations used the best ranch dressing and the delivery prepackaged version is this order was terrible. These pizza places really need to stop skimping. WILLNOTORDERAGAIN.

First time here. In town for business. I had the pizza buffet for dinner they only have on Wednesday nights. Was just looking for a quick place to grab some pizza. Was better than I expected. Small buffet but was fresh. Nice atmosphere. Nothing fancy. Wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had but overall was pretty good and one of the better pizza buffets I’ve been to. Pizza rolls were tasty. They had several different pizza options out to choose from and kept putting out different fresh pizzas and they also had a few desserts to choose from. If I’m in town again I will be back for some quick yummy pizza.

Dave’s pizza Okay so the first time I went to doubledaves pizzaworks in cedar park was back in 2010 when I was working for my old job my co workers liked to go there cause you can get their lunch buffet for around 9something and some change. It has all sorts of different pizza and dessert pizzas also the main attraction the smoked provolone pepperoni pizza rolls they are by far the best reason to go during the lunch hour and fill up on they also have the pepsi freestyle machine so you can find the preferred drink of your choice All in all its a great establishment can’t wait to go back

I never would have seen this place from the road, but a friend recommended I try it so I mapped it out. Even with the map, I passed the driveway and had to circle back. Turn in where you see the Best Western, head toward the back of the parking lot toward the Wild West sign. The pizza is the best I’ve found in Austin so far… and the salad bar exceeded my expectations too. We usually go for the normal pizza flavors, sausage and mushroom, bacon, pepperoni, etc… They offer a lunch buffet, and I believe they have a dinner buffet, but they only do that one night a week. I haven’t tried that yet. They offer desserts too. I’ve had the cherry strudel pizza… SO good! Way more than I’d expect from your typical pizza joint style dessert. If you put a tip in the jar, the counter person rings a bell and the whole kitchen yells, «thank you,» or «you rock!» I only mention it, because the first time I tipped it startled me and I almost spit soda through my nose.

Dining In: Most of my family loves the buffet on Sunday. Their salad bar is awesome. Their drink machines are cool(the kids are entranced). I don’t feel there is enough of the basic pizzas on the buffet like pepperoni for my personal taste. Usually, it seems filled with special orders or bbq chicken type pizzas(I can’t stand those, the spouse likes it). Bottom line: the buffet is cool. It’s only certain days and times though, so call ahead for info. Delivery: Don’t even bother. Their pizzas are often dry on a good day, add 45 minutes to an hour or more to delivery and it’s near inedible by the time it arrives. And they are way overpriced compared to their delivery competition. At least $ 10 more than competitors. Overall: DD’s pizzas are not that great. They are 60% of the time overcooked, dried out, undercheesed, bland pizzas. Their pizza rolls are usually great, so if that’s your preference, you should be happy. Otherwise, for pizza — pick somewhere else, especially for delivery. You’re just going to be gnawing on overcooked, dry flavorless expensive pizza if you don’t.

First time to a Double Dave’s and had the buffet. The pizza was mediocre and the best thing was the dessert strips. Maybe the other DD’s have a larger area but this one can be mobbed pretty easily and the popular pizza goes fast. Will not be back again, pizza that is just ok can be found in any number of locations in the Austin Area. The music that was playing was very weird and distracting. Some kind of techno, alternative, easy listening songs and singers from a universe far far away.

Me and some buddies went on a Sunday afternoon for their lunch buffet, it was awesome. They always has plenty of pizza out an clean plates and such. The pizza and ESPECIALLY their pizza roles are delicious. I say go for it. It’s a good place to just kick back and relax at while enjoying some wholesome, hearty pizza.

I really like the buffet — most of the time. I have never ordered to go or off the menu so my review is strictly based on the lunch and dinner buffet. For the most part I have absolutely no complaints. It is usually fresh, really good, and continuously stocked. However(yes, there is however) — during more recent visits the bar is all white sauce, chicken or something weird and random pizzas. We just sat and waited and waited for something normal. This irritates me to no end. When something more traditional did come out it was swarmed by many and gone in seconds while the other pizzas sat there waiting for a mouth to call home… see a trend here? I understand making a requested pizza for patrons but don’t turn your entire buffet into a pleasing a few. I am sure the Chick-Fil-A cows would be proud to see all of the chicken pizzas on the bar –but if I wanted Chick-Fil-A I would go there and eat a sandwich. Believe it or not there are some of us who love a traditional pizza with regular meats with & without veggies and a traditional red sauce. So you really need to mix up the requests with the more traditional selections that most seem to want. Please… the waiting game seems to entice a vulture mentality when something traditional is put on the bar which in turn makes for a frustrating experience.

My first visit to a Double Dave’s so what can I say but they are Cheesy. I order TO Go a Cheese Stick, Spinach Stromboli, and a Philly cheese steak. While waiting for my order, I have to give them A+ for their service. Counter guy was taking orders quickly and pleasantly. I watch one guy from the back hustling from the back to the buffet with fresh pizza constantly. I watch them put my food in the ovens to cook. Within seconds after my food coming out of the oven, buffet guy grabbed my food, packed it, and brought it to me. I get home and cut the cheese stick and Philly in half for lunch. The cheese stick is cheesy, well, because it’s a cheese stick. Just the right amount of cheese to bread ratio. I open my Philly to put mustard on it, and«Where’s the beef?» Cheese is melted on both sides of the bread and a thin layer of beef with a few mushrooms. The first bit is crunchy(Nice toasted bread) and cheesy(Not in a good way). Then to boot it is mozzarella cheese. It is not a Philly cheese steak unless the cheese is provalone or cheese whiz. The following day I add a slice of roast beef I had and the sandwich was balance in flavor. The spinach Stomboli was also cheesy. I saw the spinach but couldn’t taste anything but cheese. I guess they get a good deal on cheese. The prices were reasonable, service was great, so maybe next time, I will order something without cheese.

I take my AP students out to lunch here every year. Today, the lunch buffet was free for moms. The staff at this location is very friendly and the pizza is consistent. Not outstanding or different in any way. It’s just fine pizza. The buffet has a variety of pizzas, from thin crust, to thick crust, to pepperoni rolls to dessert pizza. They also have a mediocre salad bar. Their soda machine is pretty awesome. You must come check it out for yourself.
