Visiting Chinati Court has been a Christmas tradition for my family for many years! Great group of folks and they work really hard to put on an amazing display every year!

I’ve been here twice to see the holiday display, and I’ve loved it both times. It’s fun to see how going overboard can still be tastefully done.

What child doesn’t wish they lived on Chinati Court at Christmas? I’m an adult(in years anyway) and I wish I lived there at Christmas time. The neighbors in this cul-du-sac of Christmas Merriment have absolutely sunk all of their creativity, skill, ingenuity, and passion into a luminous holiday masterpiece. Each home offers it’s own unique Christmas theme(s) but all of them are united thematically by their«T’was The Night Before Christmas» storyboards and all are physically anchored to a pole at the center of the cul-du-sac that radiates light strings to each rooftop. If the light show wasn’t enough they accept donations throughout the season for Brown Santa. Speaking of Santa they get scheduled visits near Christmas from Jolly Saint Nick who sits under their tent at the center of the cul-du-sac and takes photos with passersby’s kids. They seem to be doing everything right! So what don’t they have? A nativity? Nope. Got that. A lighted peacock decoration? Nope. Got that. Hot chocolate for visitors? Nope. Got that too. A Santa plane with lit runway? Yep you guessed it. They got that. A candy land themed decorations? Got it. A scaled down electric train? Only a setup with two trains, a village, and a nice rink that any train fetishist would kill for. Heat? Check. They got a firebox going every night. Snow. Ok they don’t have snow. However, the weekend before Christmas I took my kids and they had a snow machine! «A» for effort guys! If only Tiny Tim would visit and ask to bless their hearts. Every last one for brining a little of the magic of Christmas to life by toiling to assemble so etching extraordinary and memorable. They give up a level of privacy and welcome strangers and traffic into their street every year all for the sake of spreading the Christmas cheer to all those open to receiving it. Well done Chinati Court! Well done!

Absolutely delightful display of lights! I love that the entire street has gone all-out in creating this gorgeous display! There every kind of light and scene imaginable, including a 2-story tall snowman(I’m still in awe… he was amazing). Loads of lights and miniature scenes(gumdrop trails! toy train! Whack-a-penguin!) on every yard and house. Looks like on the weekends they have hot chocolate and a fire pit to enjoy and they take donations for Brown Santa too. Best bet is to park on Sun Chase and walk through. Traffic on Sun Chase is a bits nuts, be careful walking! It’s pretty dark on Sun Chase and people don’t slow down!

Oh Chinati Court, how I miss you and cannot wait to see you again this year! This amazing cul-da-sac unites and creates a «Twas the Night Before Christmas» full display. Chock full of animations and lights strung all around. This a definitely a beauty your kids, and you, will love. When you go, start on the right side(If I remember correctly) and you will see the first sign(looks like an enormous scroll) displaying the first piece of Twas the Night before Christmas. As you move on, you will find the next, and the next, until you are all the way around the entire cul-da-sac… and you’re left thinking… «Wow, that was absolutely spectacular!!» And you don’t want it to end. But it’s cold. And you know you will come back. It will be here. I cannot appreciate enough how these folks band together and make this so magical for people of all ages. I also cannot believe this place, nor Anna court, has been added to Unilocal.well, it has now! And I’ll be sure to post plenty of pics I took Dec 2013(I just dont have them with me at the moment) This is definitely must see. They also take donation for charity and give back to the community. It’s a win win for everyone! Thank you all for displaying such wonderful magic during Christmas and telling the story that is loved by so many!
