I made an appointment over a month ago to see Dr. Segu. They left a message for me today saying that if I didn’t call them to confirm my appointment they will cancel it at 3. Since I have a job, I did not get that message until lunch, then when I tried to call– several times between noon and 2:30 pm, I get a switchboard, 3 out of four of the options take you to billing where no one answers and the last option just takes you to a voicemail. So, my impression is that this office is ridiculous. I could have made an appointment with another doctor and have an appointment coming up. The only up side is that this guy gets pretty bad reviews anyway, which I didn’t know when I scheduled. I can’t recommend this office though. Schedule with another physician with a better staff.

Dr. Segu is an amazing doctor. His knowledge and understanding of internal medicine is fantastic. I had been struggling with type 2 diabetes for years, the medications that were prescribed to me never worked the way they were supposed to which caused a lot of frustration and self doubt. Upon telling Dr. Segu my history, he didn’t just make a blind diagnosis like had been done in the past, he sent off for lab work and discovered that I am a type 1 diabetic. Under his guidance, I’ve lowered my A1C from 9.8 to 6.4 and my fasting sugars to below 120. I feel great about life again and know that I have a great partner in my medical team.
On an slightly unrelated note, my PCP is also very impressed with Dr. Segu, as he sends over treatment notes each time he sees me, so my PCP has a clear understanding of what is being done.
I would highly recommend Dr. Segu for anyone needing endocrine work, he truly enjoys what he does and takes the time to learn about his patients needs and adjusts their care as needed. Absolutely a fantastic doctor!

I’ve lived with a pituitary adenoma (tumor) for 10 years. I scheduled an
at the suggestion of several people who have thyroid issues. Last summer I was diagnosed with acute thyroiditis. Had no clue what that meant and was utterly confused. I didn’t like how the situation was handled by my physician so never took my meds and never followed through with a ct scan. Jump forward to today. I finally had my appt here to find out what I needed to do in regards to my thyroid. For one thing I was able to get a Sat appt!!! That was a big plus for me. I was greeted with kindness and I felt comfortable. Dr. Venkatesh Segu was very thorough and explained things to me so that I could understand. I was immediately put at ease. He went over my lab results from last year and helped me to understand my levels and where they should be. No more worries. No more unanswered questions. Take my meds and will need to check my levels again in a month. Final diagnosis: Hashimoto’s

I’m a new patient so I’ll have to come back and update you in a year or so but my first impression is how kind and knowledgeable his is. He takes the time to listen to you and doesn’t rush and he’s very thorough in his initial evaluation. I’m going for my first follow up soon and am looking forward to getting all the results from my tests.
