Advanced Therapeutic Massage

I left a review more than a year ago, and I got it wrong. Well, at least the name of the person was wrong. It was not Vicki who massaged me at that time. I can’t remember her name — it could have been Clara, but since I’m not certain, I do not want to say it was.
I’ve actually never had the pleasure of receiving a massage from Vicki, but I hope to soon.
I have heard very good things about her.
The best massages I HAVE received here have been from Christy (who no longer works there) HILARY who is amazing, but not available right now, and JD.
Since my last review I am happy to say that they have updated their look somewhat (in the entryway) and it does look better.
The look is not the most important thing to me, the quality of my massage is. And if you truly need help, and need serious relief and not just a «relaxing rub» this is the place to go.
I have a massage scheduled today with Corissa, I’ve never seen her before that I can remember, so I hope she’s as good as most of the others.

I was on the hunt for a great massage in Cedar Park, where I could get in same day and pay a reasonable price. A search on Unilocal revealed Advanced Therapeutic Massage. I bought the Unilocal deal and was there a few hours later.
It was perfect! When I’m in desperate need of a massage, I actually want someone with skills to relieve my aches and pains, and that’s what you get at Advanced Therapeutic Massage. My therapist was Hilary, and she was super friendly, listened to and understood what my needs were, and gave an amazing massage. I like the low-​key vibe of the place, and the rooms were very nice, calming, and clean.
I will absolutely be back for another massage, and I’m so happy there’s a place like this close to home!

Vicky & Alex are the most advanced, well trained and knowledgeable therapeutic massage professionals I have ever found. The value is unparalleled. I have been going here regularly for several months. Moreover, these are quality people. Highly recommended.

Vicki used to be my regular Massage therapist and I still remember her even though it’s been too long since I stopped getting any massage therapy. Gotta get back there. She does amazing work.

The single best massage I’ve ever receive in my entire life. I was treated by Clara Simo, and she was absolutely amazing. You get treated in a private room with relaxing music and chill vibes. After an hour I left feeling more relaxed than I’ve been in years. And for the price, it’s totally worth it. Definitely recommend!

Had a couple of good massages for my back pain however the last two ended up causing quite a bit of pain in my neck. I told her about it and she tried to relieve the pain however three weeks later I’m still in pain and can’t turn my neck normal. I’ve gone to the doctor now, too. It’s unfortunate that this has happened when all that was hurting was my back.

I went in for a 90 min. deep tissue with Vicki and I just want say that I feel truly lucky to have found her. It was one if the best massages I have ever had. She really knows all the muscle groups and can really stretch and relax and take any tension or soreness right out. I made another appointment to see her for my session. She’s also a wonderful lady. This place is a true gem!

I’ve been going to JD for six months or so a least couple of times a month. I’m a plumber and he’s helped keep me working through all kinds of strains and injurys. It really is more like therapy than just a feel good thing. Great combination of great massage at a great price. They do a package deal that is half what a chain spa charges. And its a real package not some monthly plan. I buy six at a time and can use them whenever I want. I’m lucky to have found this business.

When people ask me who a massage therapist goes to to get massaged, I tell them I go here. Most of the time I want actual work done. Pain relief, myofascial release, pin and stretching, etc. I’ve been a full time LMT for 7 years so i’m a little beat up, and when I hurt I need someone who has a solid understanding of anatomy and gets what I’m saying when I tell them this muscle hurts, i’d fix it myself but i can’t reach it!
Even though I myself work in a spa environment, I was hesitant to go to a «spa» because you never really know what your therapist is trained in. If you go in in a lot of pain, and they aren’t trained to treat your pain, you’re wasting your money and no one walks away happy from that. The push I needed to try this place was all there in the name. Advanced therapeutic? yes please! I was not disappointed, and I always come back any time i’ve overworked myself or old injuries start to bother me.

Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Wish the air conditioning was on during my stay, but overall 4-​star experience.
I would go back to this place when traveling to Cedar Park!

Not impressed. Massage was OK. however I think the place was a little dirty. Also the music during the massage the lady put in a CD player, so it kept skipping and breaking which made for a distracting experience. the therapist kept wanting to talk about things during the massage, and it may just be me, but I don’t like to talk much at all during a massage. I give it two stars. probably wont be back.

I am a massage therapist myself — I wouldn’t say I’m particulary picky about how trained or how deep a therapist is — I just want a GOOD massage (and that can mean different things… relaxation is good, sports massage is good, corrective therapy is good). For my birthday I just wanted to find a nice massage and over al the years of living in Austin hadn’t quite found my favorite therapist (tho I’ve run into many talented ones along the way). I searched online and came across Adv Ther Massage in Cedar Park.
I was quite impressed with their website. Everything on that page reminded me of the things I have always held important as a therapist. Things I didn’t ever receive from other salons or practitioners all these years. One thing being… an HOUR means an HOUR hands on. Another thing… pricing — to make it affordable to normal people without needing to go to a massage mill, which I consider to be the WalMart’s of the massage industry — cheap products produced by underpaid and overworked individuals as it runs the mom and pop businesses out of town. Ugh!
Anyhow — this place is awesome! I have been two times now and I’ve worked with a FANTASTIC therapist named Pauline. She is top notch. I just got back from my session with her — I went in with a pulled neck muscle (and lots of other muscle issues from years and years ago) and she made me feel like new! I don’t feel the pull any longer and I feel absolutely fantastic. I already signed up for my next massage.
There are so many benefits to being a client here… they offer package discounts, rescheduling discounts, their hours are varied and convenient, the location is easy to get to… check them out! There is more I could say, but I’m in that sort of la-​la land right now because of the massage bliss I just received. Definately a 5 star type of place! :)

I have tried and tried and tried (only because I moved out of Austin) to find a massage therapist that’s as good as Alex. There isn’t a single person that came even close to the greatness of Alex. Yes, he’s extremely educated on the subject of massage (he also teaches the massage program over at ACC), but I think that it’s his passion to learn that makes him so great. He doesn’t think he’s the best, and continues to do everything that he can to become the best. There’s no better type of person to see for anything that has to do with your body… e.g., doctors, and boyfriends.
The facility itself has other massage therapists. You can get deep work done, or the relaxing type of massage (I know there is a name for this, but since I would never even consider doing this type of massage I don’t care what it’s called). They even pulled in an Acupuncturist recently. I’m not big on Acupuncture… I have tried it several times, but just haven’t seen any results. But for those that do, I wouldn’t trust anyone more to provide a quality Acupuncturist. These guys know what they’re doing!
Although this place is way up in Cedar Park, it really doesn’t take that long to get there (obviously, during rush hour I retract this statement). It’s right off the toll road, so it takes me about 20 minutes from Central Austin. Worth every. Single. Second.
The #1 reason I am happy to be back in Austin is because I get to go to Advanced Theraputic Massage… and I say this as seriously as I possibly can.
Oh, and one last point… the prices are great.
