Got a groupon for the keratin treatment and my stylist did a great job and was super friendly! The only downer was that they charged me an extra 20 – 25 because I have long hair and said they need more product. But, after refilling her bottle she sprayed maybe 3 more times and my hair was already dripping with the keratin.

I was given a Groupon for a Haircut, blowout and Highlights. I don’t often go to salons so I wasn’t sure what to expect. From the very first moment I stepped in the salon I felt very welcomed. Erika did amazing job on my highlights. I wasn’t sure which color to go with and she help me select the right one. Roxy cut my hair and the length is perfect. I have very curly hair and she did great job at getting my hair very straight. These ladies really listen and gave valuable input. I will be returning.

Nice stylist, but I ended up with a blunt mushroom-y layer on the left side of my head — really awful for curly girls. I’ve gotten better at Supercuts. They allowed me to exchange an expired Groupon for which I paid $ 79 for a $ 55 haircut. That was fine with me; I’d changed my mind about doing the keratin treatment anyway, so I was ok with taking the loss. But then they told me I would forfeit the entire Groupon when I called to reschedule.(There was a something at work needed to be attended to immediately. I dumped the work on my boss in order to make the appointment and not lose anymore money. Great career move.) I find you do get second class treatment with Groupons in general, and there you have it. I’m sure if I went back to fix the mushroom, they’d do it, but I’ve already got a bad taste in my mouth.

I’ve been going here since my stylist joined the Bellatair Team. Probably about 10 years now. I know all the people there very well and am very happy with the service, and people. I do recommend bellatair. I do have to comment on Beth R’s Review. I don’t agree with not having exclusions on the Groupon Promo, which i can bring up to owner and ask to see it myself through curiosity. My biggest problem is It appears your review was based on that one situation and not your entire experience? Did you daughter have her treatment done there? If so, how did that come out. No where in your 1 star did you even explain how the atmosphere or any other relevant helpful information on the quality was. It was all about price and you were not happy with paying more, which I completely understand. I just wish you provided additional relevant info about the salon instead of making it sound like they are crooks, which i know they are not.
My Wife goes to another salon for the treatment and they charge 250.00 for the treatment and as Aliyah stated and the other salon wanted much more money because they had to use more product for the length and thickness of the hair even after buying a gift card for the treatment. So i’m not sure where these other salon’s you are stating are actually at. For all your aware, perhaps they are using less product to thoroughly do the job. Hence, the Keratin treatment won’t last as long as it should. Now to me that would be a greater bait and switch because your not getting the proper amount of product to do the job properly, but your getting what your paying for with the amount of product being used. Sure you might say, well its less money, but considering it will only last 3 months rather then 7 months. you’ll have to go twice if not 3 times instead of once. Def do your homework before writing a review and give an accurate, complete information. Again, I will speak to the owner about the promo.

The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. I came in on a Sunday and I never felt rushed out. My stylist was Roxie and she did my keratin treatment. She explained everything to me as soon as I sat in the chair and answered all my questions. She was friendly and I like to chat, so she chatted right along with me! I had such a great experience that I’m going back for a cut and color in a few weeks. I don’t really understand the negative reviews on here because this salon was great!

Really loved my experience at Bellatair Salon. I had done my research & have had another version of the keratin straightening before so I knew not to clip my hair back as it causes creases. The version they do only requires that for 24 hours. usually it is 72 hours so that’s great. As for the $ 20 fee — I have really long thick curly hair, I’ve paid much more than $ 79 to have my hair straightened or relaxed like this, and always know that because of the way my hair is, they need more product. After groupon takes their cut, the salon usually only gets enough to cover the products used. So of course you’ll pay more if you need to use more, and $ 20 is more than reasonable when you’re already saving hundreds of dollars. This is NOT a bait and switch, although I guess it would make sense to put that on the fine print in the groupon. The staff was super nice & Roxie did a great job with my hair. I was given plenty of aftercare instructions and I definitely plan on returning.

they do a bait and switch with groupon promo! i purchased a keratin treatment for my daughter as a gift — great price: $ 79 with a future blow out. when she got there, she was told that since her hair was past her shoulders, there would be an additional $ 20 fee. that was not mentioned anywhere in the groupon material! my daughter has had several of these treatments that were purchased via groupon and living social and bellatair in cedar grove was the only salon yo add a fee. AVOIDTHISSALON!

I purchased a Groupon for a keratin treatment for $ 69. Upon arrival, I was told that there is an additional $ 20-$ 30 surcharge for long hair, which I would have liked to know in advance because a) I would have brought more cash with me and b) its always nice to let people know these things before they come in. But that’s fine, the regular price for their keratin starts at $ 250 so you won’t hear me complain! My hairstylist, Kat, was really sweet. She told me about the shampoos and conditioners they recommend($ 15 for each, its the John Mitchell Awapuhi line which I had, yay) and told me what the process was. The whole thing took about two hours, I’m sure if you have shorter hair it would take less time because the straightening is what took the longest. All in all, it was a nice experience. I would have liked to know that you’re not supposed to tie/clip/wet/anything your hair for at least 24 hours after the keratin treatment, because the keratin is basically a wax so if you tie it back, you’ll add that kink to your hair. I cover my hair and I had a lot planned for the next day, so I sort of wished they would just give you a few pointers when you call to schedule your keratin treatment. I’m sure this is stuff I could have found out online but still, I probably wouldn’t have done it on the day I did if I knew I had to have my hair straight down. Just a little pointer for those planning their keratins! I’m sure it was on the pricier end of salons, but I didn’t see the actual menu of services and their prices. Still, everybody was really friendly! They offered me refreshments and it was a lovely atmosphere to get your hair done.
