The Library

Welcome to the most overrated watering hole in the area. A beneficiary of its location, the Library offers a cramped space, filthy restrooms, and surly bartenders for your displeasure.
If you’ve ever wondered what the inside of a lawnmower sounds like, be sure to attend one of their music acts, as the acoustics couldn’t be worse. If you hate having bartenders that treat you with courtesy and prompt service, be sure to visit one of the hooligans they’ve got tending bar. If you’re a masochist who enjoys a beating, go during the busy times, as the staff is happy to overserve aggressive drunks and then look the other way when hostilities commence.
Don’t forget the food, which has a quality that might be pleasing in a labor camp but seems subpar for paying customers. What a joint!

My favorite bar on College Hill — and it’s pretty hard to find one that isn’t owned by Darrin Beck! Drink specials every night and a great atmosphere. During the warmer months there’s a very nice patio with chairs, tables, and umbrellas in back that you can smoke on. The only downside — no AC. Still my favorite bar in town!
