The few stores this mall has are nice, but it honestly is dying out. The two main stores that are keeping the building from going bankrupt are Von Maur and Younkers. Nice if you just need to run in and buy some stuff at either of those store, or VS, BBW, or go to Verizon and/on US Cellular.

Ben told by the in-laws that«they»(whoever they are) are letting this place die. Even before she said that I noticed once I entered that almost literally, every other store spot was empty. does that make sense? The in-law told me part of the resin for this is that the people(person) that runs this place charges too much to rent out their available spaces to open up shop! Anyways the fam had specific purposes for coming here, business at Verizon and Von Maur, and we got that accomplished. All in all. It’s aight’ don’t expect a lot, come to explore :)

This place used to be so great… now its awful. Last time I was here there was an Icing, Hot Topic, Border’s, etc… now I’d say its at 20% capacity. The most popular things are the restaurants. They redesigned the interior and its hideous, but roomy. Only worth it if there’s a store in here you need, but otherwise this mall is on its way to a slow death.

If ever on a somber day you have taken a stroll through a cemetery and let the macabre nature of the surroundings move you. .. then you know what it is like to shop at College Square. I will not go so far as to say that College Square is dead. .. but it is on life support and waiting for a merciful pulling of the plug. Many of us grew up seeing this mall thriving and full of life without a vacant spot. Now, the mall is a skeleton of its former self with a few large stores and restaurants(Von Maur, Yonkers, Hu Hot & Old Chicago) holding up an empty carcass where a variety of interesting stores used to be. The final nail in the coffin was when Scheel’s left for greener pastures. The mall went through a renovation a few years back where they replaced the dated looking tile with more modern aesthetics. Because, of course, people will come to shop if they can walk on slightly prettier tile. Right?

This is a very sad place so many empty stores & poor foot traffic make it feel post apoplectic. It’s just sad oh the Von Mauer staff come off as self important & rude. Really people your in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere get a real life.

Am from out of town and needed funeral clothes. Not a lot of selection as far as stores go and I’m not a big fan of malls in the first place, so its pretty hard to impress me. There was a decent selection in the food court, couple of department stores and a couple of shoe stores. Got what I needed — but it certainly wasn’t at a discount.

This is a pretty decent mall for its size and the renovation they completed in the last few years was desperately needed. There are still some vacant spots, but all in all this mall has all of the stores that seem to be in every mall regardless of location: Younkers, Buckle, GameStop, Kays, Zales, Claires, Express, American Eagle. They also have Von Maur and Scheels which are not as common. There are a lot of restaurants close by, a couple of which are attached to the mall, and the food court has some decent options. A few of the places are locally/individually owned and operated which of course, I’m all for. The movie theatre is also attached to College Sqaure.
