This is Sizzler in the canyon. Overpriced & food pretty bland. We enjoyed the warm rolls. Service was excellent, has a full bar & the atmosphere is quaint.

On our way back from Bryce Canyon we stopped at Milt’s for dinner. The décor was rustic with the dinning room pretty much filled. The constant activity of humming birds at the bird feeder out the window really was a marvel enjoyed by dinners within. Strange enough, the waitress asked my lady how she wants her pork sirloin cooked, we wondered if this is the trend of how people prefer pork nowadays, regardless health issues! I ordered the Ahi tuna. The salad bar with our dinner was very fresh and pleasing, along with the nice hot bread served. The pork dish was mediocre and my ahi steak was cooked med-rare the way I ordered. Besides with a capers, mushroom, sundried tomato relish, the tuna was bland and not seasoned. Obviously it was previously frozen & not a fresh catch as advertised. In general, the service was average, food was nothing exceptional, and price was definitely high … the experience was nothing particular to write home about.

Great service and great food. The much hyped salad bar was a little thin on selection but everything was fresh and tasted good. The filet was larger than advertised, was cooked perfect and tasted great. Can’t wait to go back next time we’re in this area.

The atmosphere was very nice. A log cabin setting with old wagons outside. There was a salad bar with the meal and it was very good and fresh. The rolls were hot and really good. the food was prepared well and tasted great. The only thing that I can complain about is that the rib eye was a little on the thin side. It was very tender and a great tasting steak though. The filet was great.

We decided to go to Milts instead of Rusty’s because we’ve never been disappointed there. We wanted to try Rusty’s because we’ve never been n wanted to try it. Well… WRONG. We should’ve gone with our first instincts. It’s so unfortunate as I’ve always made it a point to dine here and the steaks have always been on point in years past. Today I ordered a ribeye medium rare and what I got was a fried piece of prime rib that was overcooked on a griddle surface. The vegetables at the salad bar were brown and did not look fresh. The only good thing that came from our dinner tonight was the smoked trout appetizer. So unfortunate, I don’t think I’ll be dining there anymore. Not at that price point($ 26/steak) or any price point. My daughter ordered the grilled cod and it was battered and deep fried(it came frozen from Walmart, something you would find at DENNY’s. Both of our sweet potato came out dry with cinnamon powder on it(no butter). Was not the great steak house I remembered this place to be.

My fiancé and I went here for dinner on Valentine’s day and I’m sad to say that I’m not very impressed. We had to send my fiancés steak back once because it wasn’t well done and even when they brought it back it still wasn’t well done. My steak was done the way that I wanted it but my rice and mushrooms was under cooked. After hearing so many great stories of this steak house, my expectations were high and they crashed hard during this experience. Of course, I won’t really hold it against them this time since we decided to go on a very busy holiday towards the end of the time that they were going to close so maybe we’ll give them another chance but we shall see what happens. But other than that, I’m not impressed.

Very delicious and the deer outside were great entertainment. I loved the salad bar and rolls, but the other dishes were very expensive, Definitely over priced. Good for an every now and then, but not a place I would go to as a monthly date night.

This was sold to me as one of the better/fancier places in town with«a great salad bar.» Well, I will say that the Prime Rib was pretty good, and the service was good, but the salad bar was disappointing. Given the prices I expected a little better, but overall it was a good meal.

Worst steaks we’ve had in years. The steaks looked like they were fried no grill marks. Next full tendon I love ribeye steaks cause of the flavorful fat never leave any scraps behind. Buts these half a plate couldn’t chew it. Next flies kept landing on glass then plates. I’ve paid up to 60 dollars for a steak 26 dollars at Milts not worth 10

Best dinner in Cedar City. Stopped in for dinner prior to a play. The shrimp was perfectly breaded and delicious. The prime rib was the best my wife has ever had. Good, fresh salad bar, and quality service. Upscale food with a casual atmosphere.

On the outskirts of town, located up a lovely canyon, is Milt’s. As much as I would love to say Milt’s is the bomb, I can’t. The scenery is great. The salad bar is very pleasing, with little touches like jello salad, fresh whole scallions and pickled beets. But the steaks are thinly cut and just average. I have had their ribeye and the prime rib, and both cuts are fattier than what most restos serve… so on my last visit I ordered the Sirloin. The menu said it was seasoned and tenderized, I had never had a tenderized steak before and the tenderizer product ruined the taste and smell of my steak, I really disliked it. In addition, I did not like the cut of my steak as it was narrow at the ends… so my medium rare steak was only medium rare at the widest part of the steak, and curled at the two pointy edges. WAH!(I am not a sender-backer) Yet, the next time I am in the small hamlet of Beaver, I will gleefully come to Milt’s and order the Ribeye, because regardless of the sub par overpriced meat, the rest of the experience is great.

Decided to try Milt’s again which was mainly based on the fact that there is nowhere to eat in Cedar City on a Sunday night. I had the beef kabab(I’d rate that a 2.5 and my bf had the filet which mediocre. I knew the quality would be like Sizzler’s and even with that we were disappointed. Ugh. I’ll put it this way, if you love Sizzler’s or Shoney’s you will love this place and their food. If you wouldn’t eat at either place, don’t eat here. Our waitress was pushy and haphazard. She changed my bf’s side order without telling him until she put the plate in front of him. She left our empty, dirty plates in front of us way too long. The buffalo chips seemed either overcooked or cooked once and lazily reheated by re-frying. Our waitress clumsily dropped silverware while clearing our table. The last time our waitress was friendly, this time we had a different server. This time our waitress was not much of a people person. Ugh. No more Milt’s! Even if everything else in Cedar City is closed!

I have eaten at Milt’s several times and each and every time I just must have the prime rib. I have never been disappointed. Ask for the Atomic horseradish if you are a lover of the condiment and enjoy it hot(a little goes a long way). This is a restaurant that has a great wait staff and the patrons are friendly as well. Several out of towner’s at other tables stopped by to chat about various subjects we held in common from wine to spices. It is casual, cozy, and has a great salad bar. This is a little ways from downtown but well worth the short drive up the canyon. I have taken friends and family and plan on going back more frequently in the future.

Ate at Milts last week when we were working up in Cedar City. They had a 2 for $ 30 dinner special that included Prime Rib. The salad bar was really good but prime rib was just ok, it showed up as 2 uneven thin pieces. I would have sent it back but with a table of 4 I did not want to have my food brought back after the others were done. The place is really nice and homie with a fire place going and a sort of view of the creek. Would I go back ya but I would tell them ahead how to cut meat. The waitress was very friendly and kept our waters full and dish’s cleared. Make reservations if you go on a weekend or you won’t get in. Also if you want Prime rib it is best to tell them when you make your reservations as they do run out. They do have a full bar and beer and wine, Hard to believe as this is Utah.

Top sirloin steak was over tenderized and mushy on the outside. Petite filet mignon was ordered medium well but was served rare. I sent it back twice to get it medium well. Both steaks were bland. The salad bar was very fresh and had a good variety. But I would not eat here again.

I was visiting Cedar City just for a few days to go skiing at Brianhead and felt like eating MEAT. After looking this place up on Unilocal and saw it had decent star ratings compared to others around here, and plus the number of $ signs it had, I decided to come here because I was really craving some GOOD meat. Kind of assumed if it’s a pricey steakhouse, it’ll serve a decent steak. When I walked in here it had a feel of a local cabin dining hall rather than a $$$ steakhouse. But hey, it’s up in the mountain road with no reception, what am I going to expect. The dinner rolls are delicious! Similar to the fluffy, soft, dark dinner rolls served at Cheesecake factory. Probably better than that, actually. Ordered mush-zuch combo(muschroom grilled in butter mmmm with deep fried zucchini). I thought this was def a hit. The zucchini was battered and fried and it was really well done, like a really good piece of tempura. Now for the meat! I got the Ribeye… you really can’t go wrong with a ribeye. When it came out though, I was not impressed. If I was eating at Denny’s I would’ve been very satisfied. If I was eating at outback, I would have been disappointed. What I mean to say is, the quality of the meat is somewhere between a Denny’s and an Outback with a price that surpasses them both. Totally not worth it. Way over priced. The location is pretty cool. I came here during the winter time so the view from the window was pretty cool. I really liked the appetizer and the dinner rolls. The waitress was really friendly. So I think those three make up for the below average steak, I guess.

I was getting hungry after taking sunset photos at Cedar Breaks National Monument, so stopped in here to look at the menu, and decided to give it a try. Nice rolls fresh from the oven, a beautiful salad bar with very fresh produce and some prepared salads(macaroni, potato, cottage cheese, etc.) and a fair-sized baked potato accompanied a delicious sirloin cooked precisely to order. I was very pleased with the ambiance, the attentive wait staff, and the very tasty food. I highly recommend Milt’s, and should the winds blow me that way again I will most certainly enjoy another meal there.

Thomas Jefferson and I were here back the first week of March we actually came here on his birthday. Milts is located on a road way back out of town… in fact you sort of get the feel you are driving to another state or heading some where up in the Mountains. Be patient you’ll get there it’s just around the bend :) I had a juicy Pork Chop with Apricot Sauce, Thomas Jefferson had something that I can’t remember now =/anyhoo it was a nice dinner beer and wine only I think they served and moderately priced. Service was excellent and they had a «fresh» salad bar that you helped yourself to that was included in your dinner. Respectfully Reviewed
