Absolutely disgusting. Never again. Everything is so extremely sweet, my teeth were cringing. Greasy, old, flavorless. I don’t know how they are still open. Horrible.

Visited with my boyfriend one summer day. I had the Chicken Satay and Galette L’Indochine. He had some noodle dish. We both enjoyed the food very much and the sauces were great. Environment was clean and quiet, and service was good. Not the best Thai place I’ve ever been, but still a very good experience overall.

The worst Asian restaurant I have experienced. I tried one more time thinking this place had changed, but it was another horrible experience. The cashew chicken was tasteless and watery. It was supposed to be hot and spicy, but it was bland. The chicken satay was a pale slice of chicken that looked boiled on a stick. Even though only a couple people were in the restaurant, service was slow and inattentive, unfriendly.

Stopped by on a mid afternoon weekday and couldn’t have been treated kinder. Nice window booths with a dark rich interior that stretched back to a bar. Food was ok but we might have caught them at a bad time. Spring rolls, just ok, Satay somewhat better… Yum Nua had good heat but forgettable for me. Miso soup was interesting. Like to come back during peak time and try other dishes but after this review might need an elaborate disguise :) in order to get the great service we got. Should probably try when your not the only ones there and they want to close up :)

With a voucher in hand we headed to Cazenovia to tryout Les Pates Et Les Nouilles. Like other reviewers have noted, the service is ‘quirky’, but what they didn’t note is that it’s also very friendly and gracious. The food? Delicious! We started with Tom Yum(Thai hot! So hot that there was lots of sweating, a runny nose and a few tears) and miso soups, then on to satay chicken with a sweet peanut sauce and Galette I’indochine(rice crêpe wrapped around ground pork, onion, and champignon mushroom and served with house sauce), which we’d never of but immediately fell in love with. For entrees we selected Panang and Shrimp Pad Thai. Both were a little sweet, a little savory and with just the right amount of heat.

Although the service can be inconsistent, the food is always great. Staff is friendly and agreeable.

One of my favorite Thai places. The rice is always good and the dishes are inexpensive yet very flavorful and delicious! Their spring rolls are always great and their wings are pretty darn good! I personally like the Pad King which has ginger in it and usually get pork. It’s a darn big portion and it’s always good! Definitely was one of my go-to dinner place while at college!

Coming from Boston, we’ve tried a lot of casual and upscale thai. This family-run place is very«family-run»; quirky service, but the food was excellent. I wish we could get thai food of this quality. Delicious and unusual mushroom dish, amazing(not frozen, non-greasy) fried rolls for 1.49? $ 5 glasses of wine? Unheard of. The food is outstanding and unlike most thai/asian restaurants and is highly recommended for a casual night out.

I had an excellent meal here last week. The #21 Drunken Noodles(with chicken, snow peas, broccoli, basil and brown sauce) was was amazing. The service was prompt and the server was friendly and knowledgeable.

The name suggests that noodle dishes are their strong suit. This is largely true; their pad Thai is halfway decent. As for their curries, nope. Like their sister restaurant, the curries are the same. They cut corners, which is understandable these days, sadly.

I really wanted this place to be great. I was so excited to have a Thai restaurant in Caz. Unfortunately even with my inflated hopes this place was not very good. The first time I went I ordered tofu pad thai. The tofu was hard and flavorless. I’m a regular tofu eater and this was sub par. The second time I tried this place I ordered it to go. I ordered several spring rolls. When I got home and opened the box I discovered the spring rolls were burnt beyond recognition. It was insulting that they would serve those to anyone as they belonged in the garbage. I called the restaurant and told them the state of the spring rolls. At first the lady didn’t say much. I had to tell her they were completely unacceptable and inedible twice before she told me they were all out of spring rolls. She told me to come back and take some type of rolls that had meat in them(I don’t eat meat– but husband does). I accepted as it was obvious that was to be her best offer. My husband brought back the incinerated spring rolls when he drove back to pick up replacement rolls. The lady told him she didn’t notice they were so burnt when she sent them out. How someone could not notice that was beyond me, they were so burnt some of them were falling apart. I really wished this place was better. I guess I will have to wait until we go out of town to get some decent Thai.

I’ll agree that the décor is dated, and fits Caz not Thailand, but the food and service were quite good. Pad Thai was good as was the #27 beef salad. Spring rolls were tasty. Singha beer was traditional. I’d go back regularly. Lunch prices are lower than dinner. Dinner portions were generous. Left with heartburn ordering medium spice and adding Thai chile ground up.

ok, so combine these three disparate restaurant notions and you’ve got les pates… a huge space with an interior that looks like a wanna-be ruby tuesday from back in the day — think 1989, dark wood paneling, out of date dark colors. this is thai décor? a thai(more on that in a second) restaurant with an inexplicable french name food that tastes reminiscent of … something. thai? yeah, i guess so. once again, cazenovia food knocks it out of the park, and not in a good way. went there for lunch yesterday and walked out knowing we won’t be back. the waitress was kind but completely unprepared and overwhelmed; she could not pronounce anything on the menu and wanted us to order by «number only — that’s the only way i know how to do this.» uh. ok. so the service was our first hint that this wasn’t going to be so great. ordered chicken satay for an appetizer. i know, i know — not very inspired. but how hard is it to mess this up? it’s on every appetizer menu nearly everywhere, to the point the thai-ness has been all but obliterated. at les pates it was the best of what we had — four decent skewers of chicken breast, served with a overly-sweet peanut sauce and(the winner of the food, by far) a very small bowl of cucumber salad. on to the entrees… husband ordered a chicken stir fry that was, um, basically what you could make yourself. lacking flavor, complexity, interest. also lacking a few things that were listed in the menu description — no snow peas, no bamboo shoots, no explanation. i ordered green curry which came looking as anemic and pathetic as it ultimately tasted; a plate filled with white rice, a bunch of frozen and heated-up peas, and cut-up tofu, swimming in watered-down curry sauce. again, where were the promised other vegetables? an entrée of rice and frozen peas? c’mon, this is hardly even trying. paid the check and exited as soon as we could. this venue has had over four restaurants in it in the last five years. my guess is this one won’t survive either. and, honestly, it shouldn’t.
