Great place. Great staff. Prices compare to Bowling Green without having to drive. Need something? This is where I’d go and do.

Fun fact for visitors to Cave City, Kentucky: up until a few months ago, the area was a dry county and if locals wanted to purchase liquor they would have to drive all the way to Bowling Green, a good 35 minutes away. Yikes! Anyhow, Mammoth Liquors is one of two liquor stores in town and it served me quite well during my stay at the Best Western next door. Again quite conveniently located right off the interstate and next to not only my hotel but also one of Cave City’s best restaurants, the place has a decent selection of wine(for a small town in Kentucky), a surprisingly impressive selection of cold beer(including some nice micros) and of course, all of the requisite Bourbon you could want. I’d be totally remiss if I passed through Kentucky and didn’t pick some up and thankfully Mammoth had me covered. The staff seemed quite knowledgeable and were able to give me a great recommendation which I’m actually enjoying at this very moment! Prices are pretty good(about the same for beer as gas stations and convenience stores in the area) and again, with the good selection and helpful employees, I’d rather stop in here all things being equal. So I’d definitely suggest people pop in if they’re touring nearby Mammoth Cave National Park and want a delicious and refreshing adult beverage afterwards. Still, dry county in the home of Bourbon, the brownest of the brown liquors… wow… Oh and I also can’t believe I missed out being the first to review on a business that I added. And to a one sentence review at that. Grrrrr…
