Pleasantly surprised on MCC&K professionalism. We were greeted by a lovely lady when we pulled into the lot. We decided to not make any reservations because we wanted to scope out to see who had the best rates and options in the area. I visited Mammoth Cave Canoe and Kayaks website and was impressed so we headed out on an adventure! The guide who lead us to the river was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the park and the Green River. Was a little bit ashamed that we didn’t have any cash on us to tip the driver, as we left it in the car.. . The river was absolutely breath-taking. Sand bars to eat lunch, turtles galore, small fish jumping, amazing tree formations. This River route has everything. We took two canoes. Loved how we didn’t feel rushed at all. Took about 2:30 hours. Not bad, we took our time and explored the wonders of nature. Just wanted to say thank you to Mammoth Cave and Kayak for allowing us to experience something that we will never forget. It was a perfect day.

Of all the reviews I had read, no one had mentioned what happens at the end of the line. When you reach the ferry, you wait until he moves to the other side. You then move your canoe/kayak into position, carefully stepping out onto a concrete driveway. Then you must quickly carry your canoe/kayak up this very steep driveway so that you are out of the way by the time the ferry leaves the other side with the cars. It was challenging, to say the least. Not a fun end to our trip. Afterwards, we had to wait 45 minutes for the van to come back around for us. To note… the employees were all friendly.

I used this outfit 2 years ago and they were great. There are only a couple of options in the area, but really were well taken care of by these owners. Equipment was worn but very well maintained. The advice and the instruction were great. The drop off and he pick-up were fantastic. Great river to paddle for all ages. We had all four kids between 7 – 16. I have to say that my 7 year old had more experience than my wife. It was a great trip. A great river. A great outfit. Highly recommended.

These guys were great. We did the«half day» trip twice. Fantastic both times… and if you don’t paddle constantly it will be more like 6 or 7 hours. The longer trip is all slow water… I.e. no assistance. You will need to paddle the whole way. Don’t forget to give the owner Becky a bit of sass, she loves the banter. Ask for a discount… she loves that too. ;) Oh yeah… just before the ferry exit there is a small creek where the water exits the cave. Get out and go visit. It is muddy as hell but totally worth it.

Canoe and Kayak rentals just a few minutes outside of Cave City. $ 50 bucks for two people got us an 8 mile(3 – 4 hour) trip down the lazy river. It had rained the night before we went, but the river was still nice and slow. They provide you with a boat(canoe or kayak), paddles, life jackets, and a ride to/from the drop off/pick up site. There are a bunch of gravelly islands where you can stop and explore, which can extend your trip by an hour or two if you’re curious. You will probably want to take a dip, so wear a swimsuit and water shoes. Definitely a good value for the experience.

Good service and good prices. We did the half day trip and they explain it perfectly on their website: Half Day Trip — Dennison Ferry — 8 miles — Our shortest trip taking 3 to 4 hours depending on river level and your pace. Excellent trip for beginners or those with small children. Great scenery, limestone bluffs, a small cave(canoe accessible depending on water level). No Rapids. Class 1. Never closed due to low water level. Bottom line — lazy river but a nice day.
