Staples the Office Superstore

This Staples Store took care of me and showed me how important customer service is.
I had made a purchase online for pickup at this store. When I arrived the product was not there, I was disappointed but realized that inventory tracking is not an exact science.
I later realized that I had been charged by Staples Online anyway. When I called Staples Online I was told «take it up with your credit card company.» I was upset by this lack of concern.
I returned to the store in Catonsville, showed the paperwork and told my story to the manager. The manager asked me several questions to ensure that she clearly understood what had happened. She then immediately refunded my money. I was greatly relieved and thankful.

Couldn’t buy a $ 250 desk chair because they had no one to bring i out to my car, and they wouldn’t bother to get me a dolly to do it myself. A retail store, that cannot sell its inventory due to poor employee scheduling. Management should be more than embarrassed.

Where to begin. I’ll make it easy: clueless staff, rude staff, and apathetic staff all in one location.
Cashiers who need to constantly call over managers to help them with returns, coupons, sale items, etc…
Floor sales staff who use the place like a dating site.
Only one person running both the copy center and the shipping department. The wait for either can be ridiculously long even when the store is basically empty.
I’ll take my business someplace else. This is ridiculous!

The store is really easy to miss and with practically no parking. Seemed very lacking in non electronic devices. Half the store is dedicated to printers, tablets and other gadgets but I didn’t need any of that. There also wasn’t anyone on the actual floor to help with questions or locating products.
The best thing about my trip was the clearance section where I got Christmas stationary for only $ 2. I’ll be putting that back and saving it for the holidays at a total steal.
