This is one of WORST customer service El Pollo loco. Unlike other restaurants, very unaccommodating to customer request. The manager Jose (short with glasses) has a superior, unfriendly attitude towards customer. And he is very consistent with this attitude. We stopped going to this restaurant because of him.

I so want to love this place. I live a few blocks awAy. Went there the first week we moved here. Tried tried but it’s a mess. The menu is so confusing I just want some health Ckn. White meat You drive up. What the .,? Great idea. With extremely bad execution I speak from some experience. Owned three Heath food stores and deli on Dallas You guys went public. Took the money and ran. Fire everyone In charge. This is a great idea. Read the reviews. They are awful. It’s about consistency and execution All about management

This ussually a great and somewhat healthy fast food choice. I am not sure who did their shopping and bought parsley instead of cilantro. The cilantro dressing was made with parsley and the salsa bar had parsley instead of cilantro as well. The food was good though and the restaurant and bathroom was clean. Service was fast.

Delicious real food… no pretense. …just good ass chicken… and large portions. feed 4 humans for 2 days off 25 dollars… no wonder everyone is crazy about them… the food is banging… the beans are very good abd guac wss super fresh and have real food from a drive thru window is amazing experience

Horrible. It’s that simple. Your better off going to a Mexican meat market, or any place that actually cares what food they put out. This El Pollo Loco is bad… very bad. I ordered chicken and Mac and cheese for my kids. The lady who took my money looked back at the guy who was putting man and cheese in a small cup and she kept saying «that’s too much.» So the guy emptied the cup, and refilled it with less macaroni and cheese. The lady then said «that’s too much Mac and cheese» again in a rude tone. She finally stomped over to him and put one scoop in a small cup. When my family & I got home we were shocked at what we saw. The Mac and cheese looked like someone ate it, then spit it out. My 5 year old son took one look and said «this doesn’t look right.» Then my husband tried it, and spit it out. This isn’t the first time we’ve gotten old food from El Pollo Loco, but it certainly will be the last!

I adore the flame grilled chicken and garden salads from El Pollo Loco. It is a pity that you have to actually go into an El Pollo Loco to get it. I have come to expect a certain degree of filth with this chain so I always make sure that my immune system is in top condition before I partake.
True to form, the tables were all greasy and uncleaned and the salsa bar had salsa slopped all over it. You can’t blame a restaurant for its messy clientele but I should have seen an employee cleaning at least once in my half hour in the place. It is a little pathetic when I saw a customer (who did not make a mess) cleaning the salsa bar with paper napkins while he was waiting for his food.
If they keep making that amazing flame grilled chicken I will continue to risk my GI system for it.

What a joke. Ordered the whole chicken parts to go and what a surprise. Dry, overcooked, scrawny, pieces of tastleless dwarf chicken. Drumsticks the size of my thumb and wings so small that I imagined they came from a sparrow. Worst chicken meal I have ever eaten. Good luck on expanding.

STOP do not eat at Cathedral City El Pollo Loco on hwy 111 we found a LIVE ROACH in the bag of chips. Eat there at your own risk. 2÷20÷15. Ate half of the bsg before it ran out of the bag of chips from El Pollo Loco.

I eat here often… usually at least twice a week. As a general rule, I find the employees at El Pollo Loco restaurants to be extremely helpful, courteous, respectful… and just down right nice. That is more than true at this location… they’re just great.
Food is good, portion size is fine.
I I had any comment, it would be that sometimes the restaurant is not as clean as it should be… papers on floor, tables not cleaned/​cleared.

El Pollo is great for catering. I told my customers I would bring lunch in and ordered a 14 piece meal family pack, an extra 10 pcs of legs and thighs, beans & rice as sides, salad, corn and orders of churros.
The help at the counter put together everything within minutes and supplied me even paper plates and utensils. I also packed up several types of salsas and had all these eats in two bags.
All the food was hot and we had plenty. My clients were full and content too and lunch helped me land a nice sale of some product on a custom home. YES!
I’d recommend El Pollo Loco for catering — it’s tasty, convenient and reasonable too.

Typical epl. Salsa bar actually is a lil messy like another review said. But the rest of the place is pretty clean. We have been coming here for about 2 yrs. Now and we are usually satisfied. So its worth going to if you are in palm springs.

the chicken were served hot and fast! the salsa bar was a bit messy and most salsa were half empty and had not been refilled.
The chicken was to die for! loved the way its cooked and how everything just falls off the bone.
