Valley Pointe Nursing & Rehab Center

My Mom was here for physical and occupational therapy after a hip fixation surgery. The staff was exceptional and very helpful and kind. Our experience was very pleasant. I was able to be there alongside my Mom as she stayed away from home. I would come and stay 12 hours a day without any negative comments in regards to my being there. It was our first time experiencing a 4 week stay at a facility; but the Valley Pointe staff made the experience enjoyable and stress free. My Mom said she was going to miss everyone that made her stay restful and easy. I have to agree that the cna staff throughout the day were very helpful to my Mom’s needs and very attentive when there was a need to be. I was able to go home, knowing that she was in good hands during the night! I’m so very thankful and grateful to the management staff, the cna and therapy staff, the kitchen staff and the activity staff for everything they have done to making her stay comfortable. God bless you all for your giving hands, your servant hearts and your thoughtfulness.

The facility is clean and has no odors. The staff is distant and not friendly to patients or family membr who come to visit. Very unappoachable. Have tried to talk to the administrator with no luck. My family and never see the admnistrator socialize with the patients.

When locating a Skilled Nursing Facility/​Rehab for placement of a loved one, it’s usually our nose that gives the first impression.
At Valley Pointe in Castro Valley there was no offensive smell, my first impression was cleanliness.
One of my parents was here recently, for two weeks. From the Administrator to the Director of Nurses, plus all nursing and integrated facility staff, I sensed sincere compassion and communication.
The three Cs; clean, compassion and communication.
They are hard to find all in one, but it’s here at Valley Pointe.
