When I visit vintage or antique shops, I usually go to search for small and whimsical things; this place has that and it’s presented throughout the store beautifully. There are lots of cute things: sewing notions, doorknobs, magnets, soaps, decorative gift tags that the owner has put together herself, among other things.

First off, disclosure: this place has some cute stuff. That’s the only reason it has 2 stars. That being said, I won’t be returning here again, or supporting this business. I came in here about a week ago, serious about buying a few pieces. I was walking around the store, at least 30 minutes, looking at everything, taking pictures, hanging around the front desk, etc. I was politely waiting for the owner to finish her conversation with what seemed like her friend, but 30 minutes later… no luck. Besides shouting EXCUSEME, nothing could have gotten her attention. I heard ALL about their personal lives– their personal incomes, what their husbands did, their search for health insurance… everything. I’m sorry– this is your business. You see a customer hanging out for an extensive amount of time… get rid of your friend! Or at least pause from the conversation for one minute to check on me(the only other person in the store, fyi) and see if i had any questions. Won’t be returning.

This place is the anti-Ikea. Where Ikea sells particle board furniture by the thousands in a warehouse so large that you need to bring your Tom-Tom with in order to find the exit, RnR is a sweet little shop where vintage furniture is loved and creatively refinished to create a unique one-of-a-kind piece for your home. Karen, the owner, is super friendly and has great prices on both furniture she’s beautifully refinished and«diamonds-in-the-rough» items if you’re a DIY’er like me! I love coming here even if it’s just to get inspired and I’m totally stoked she’s decided to open 3 days a week instead of just once a month.
