Kelly Maddox Riding Academy

If I could give 6 stars, I would definitely hand it over to Kelly Maddox Training! This review is particularly for a special event that my little girl had with them. For her birthday, she absolutely wanted a pony party. Hubby and I wanted it to also be an educational experience, where the kids learned a little bit more about grooming and animal care. We have been to a few stables for lessons before, but Kelly Maddox was just above the rest with her professionalism and experience. We were so glad she and her awesome staff could accommodate us for the party.
Planning was a breeze — she is very organized and responded to email promptly. She was out of town during the event, but she transitioned everything efficiently to her staff. On the day of the event, it started to rain heavily, but she was ready with plan B– utilizing the indoor stables to accommodate our party of 15 kids.
Everything went smoothly despite the rain. We had 5 staff members helping us out the entire time– teaching the kids how to groom and care for the horse, then teaching them about riding basics, then taking turns riding horses. Every one had a blast and was very impressed with the trainers and their lovely horses.
I have nothing but good things to say about Kelly Maddox Training — they are not only just a top training academy, they are also passionate about sharing their love of horses to others. Thank you so much for blessing our young one with an unforgettable birthday experience!

Very professional, safe, great attitude with the kids and they care about their horses. Overall, it’s a great place to learn and ride!

I have been at Kelly Maddox training for about four years, and I have improved so much. The horses are safe and the staff is extremely nice I have never been to a better barn in my life. My horse is the happiest horse alive because the groomers take care of these horses like their royalty. The trainers know how high you can jump and they will encourage you to jump to the next level.

So, I was 6 mos into riding with Kelly Maddox Training when I last reviewed. It has now been 3 years and I am having a blast! I have met all my riding goals and more. Kelly matched me with a gem of a horse and I hit the show circuit. My 8 year old son began riding a year ago and is also having blast! I can’t recommend this place more highly!

Kelly and her staff are awesome! They work with beginners, through advanced riders. Very patient, safe and definitely a fun atmosphere! A great barn!
