Horizon Building

I just completed a major seismic retrofit to my apartment building in San Francisco. This project required building many new sheer walls in my garage and basement areas. The work was quite extensive since much of the foundation and many of the old plumbing and electrical parts had to be replaced in order to accommodate the new sheer walls. The project got even more
complex than originally thought after we found that most of the foundation was in bad shape and needed to be replaced.
Daniel of Horizon Building did an excellent job in managing the project to completion, within budget and on schedule. This was all done while my tenants were living in the building, and thus required a lot of coordination with them. Daniel handled it with minimum impact to my tenants.
Daniel and his subcontractor were both very knowledgeable and professional. Daniel is easy to work with and very accessible by phone or email and was always on time for scheduled meetings and conferences. He also works well with my engineer and architect and interacts with building inspectors well. His price is very competitive as I had 3 bids for the project before I decided on Horizon. I would highly recommend Horizon!

Daniel is amazing, I’ve recommended him to half a dozen friends and they all agreed. We were super nervous when we bought our first house because it’s a fixer-​upper, so we must have talked to half a dozen contractors before we started the remodel. Daniel was head and shoulders above the rest. He’s incredibly reliable, really easy to work with, and charges very fair rates for his excellent work. Our kitchen is beautiful, and he finished ahead of schedule. He will also show up and help out at the drop of a hat whenever we have a leaky pipe or some other home disaster.
