I came to Dr Rik Cederstrom complaining of intracranial pressure. He asked me many questions about the symptoms, possible causes and what made it better. He took his time with me, provided a safe and caring environment– he listened. He knew what I was talking about and validated my concern. His technique was gentle, informed, and effective. He has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend Dr Rik.

Let me start by saying I was a bit skeptical about chiropractic care. Analytically it makes sense to ensure the spine is properly aligned. But there seems to be too many chiropractors, and of questionable character. I chose Dr. Rik because I thought his practice might match my desire for wellness treatment and living an active life. I am healthy, athletic, and fit. But all the years of sports and computer work is starting to take a toll on my body. I want to continue the martial arts training I started in my mid-40s. My biggest issues were lower back pain and some deep aches in an arm. Initial X-rays showed several undesirable curves. We started a treatment of re-alignment, and strengthening to maintain the adjustments. He also treated soft tissue issues, and recommended changes to my exercise routine to restore muscle balance which will help maintain spinal alignment. The treatment has been effective(proven by new X-rays). There are some other adjustments still to make, and I have some bad habits to correct. But there is real improvement, and Dr. Rik is a good practitioner.

I am an adult with Spastic diplegia, a neuromuscular type of cerebral palsy involving hypertonia and spasticity in the muscles of the lower extremities, usually those of the legs, hips and pelvis. Cerebral Palsy makes me look at things differently in life. It forces me to be more of a patient person, more understanding and dare I say, more determined to succeed. I am not one who cries over what I have been given in life. I embrace it! Life is full of challenging events. With a positive attitude, any challenge can be overcome. As a result of my Cerebral Palsy, I have chronic pain and back problems that have left me with two herniated discs. Thanks in large part to the care I have received from Dr. Rik Cederstrom, I am now back at work and lead a «normal» life again. For example, I’m taking less pain medication — around once a week rather than 2x/day. I get great joy out of meeting people and sharing my story in hopes of helping others with their journey to better health. Thanks Rik! I wish you happiness and good health. Best regards, Dave
