The Pet Stuff Place

Michelle no longer works there. Sad… she was fabulous! I don’t have the motivation to go there as often as I did. I still believe in supporting local stores over big box if I can… so I’ll continue to stop in.

These are honestly some of the nicest, most caring and generous shop owners I have met! They took the time to discuss different food options for my fur baby who just turned 7. We also ended up scheduling a teeth cleaning for my baby girl which will happen 12÷13÷13. They carry a nice array of toys, goodies (frozen/​raw as well!) chews and food I would so much rather support a small, local business.

What a great independent pet retail store! The Pet Stuff Place is located at the bottom of Happy Canyon Rd. which I absolutely LOVE driving down from I-​25. The owner is super friendly and is very knowledgeable in her products, which are of the best quality. Her prices are very competitive, and she will even match prices from Petco or Petsmart if you find that same item for lower.
Also, she has a teeth cleaning day (vet?) who comes every couple of months and clean your dogs teeth, WITHOUT anesthesia, that you sign up for. Apparently this service is VERY popular and their customers rave about it. The price for this cleaning service is somewhere around $ 150-​$ 160… which everyone who’s ever had their dog’s teeth cleaned is NOTHING compared to the $ 500-​$ 800 (or more) a vet would charge with anesthesia! I have yet to try it myself, but I’m just waiting for the next visiting time.
You will seriously walk out of this place with a great feeling that you’re helping the «little guys» survive in this craziness of big box stores. She pretty much sells a little of everything, and if you can’t find something… just ask. She brings new things in and likes to hear from her customers what they want to see in her store. Absolutely worth a stop in!
