My family and I stopped in after a fun morning at The Barn. The menu has great variety, everyone can find something no matter their preference. Great for a big group, service and food were wonderful.

4 Visits in the past month 2 with 10 people(called ahead) 2 with 4 people The ratings for food would be 4 – 5 stars for over a dozen menu items. Hands down one of the best breakfast places for food in the south suburbs /Castle Rock. Large portions served hot, excellent flavors — killer breakfast potatoes and sausage links, French Toasts, great gluten free selections. The reason for 2 stars is consistently TERRIBLE service. So bad, we won’t be heading back anytime soon and I have paid for 28 meals there. We’ve had 3 different servers, all equally appear to wish they were somewhere else. I was tempted to leave a zero tip. Errors in food items ordered, no drink refills, not around enough to be considered rude. The restaurant is quite busy, so customer service is not high on their agenda. What a pity.

A quaint, small town café in the heart of Castle Rock’s downtown. Good coffee and a nice selection of options whether you’re craving sweet or savory. My breakfast was the Greek breakfast(egg, sun dried tomato, spinach and feta cheese on sourdough bread) and my breakfast companion had the Old Fashioned breakfast(eggs, bacon and toast). Both were excellent, as was our service. Will be going back to try the pancakes and likely the cinnamon roll that was served to a nearby table that had my mouth watering. A nice, reasonably priced find in downtown Castle Rock.

Going downhill lately. Went for lunch this week and got California wrap. Wrap was 90% lettuce. Doubter got a burger and it was meh. Probably not going back anytime soon.

The food is great, the service is good, the prices are really fair and they had K-Love on the radio which was an added bonus for me! I would definitely recommend this place!

We stopped here for breakfast/brunch on a drive from Denver to Colorado Springs. We are so glad we did! Everything we had was delicilis. The thick cuts of bacon didn’t last long on my plate. There was a sweetness to the pancakes that made syrup almost unnecessary. 5 star food + 5 star service.

The breakfast here is fairly mediocre and the lunch made me dream of other places to go. It is very similar to the quality of breakfast you can get at a sit-down supermarket restaurant. A good place in Castle Rock for breakfast is severely lacking but if the owners converted into a First Watch franchise, which they have the space for, they would make money hand-over-fist. But I digress…

This is a very cute café that offers outside seating. They provide healthy alternative options for bread. I had Chicken Salad on a croissant that came with home-made fries. My husband ordered Chicken Caesar Wrap. The unsweetened Mango Ice Tea was fresh brewed and very refreshing. Can’t wait to go again. Orders took a little longer to arrive, but fresh is worth the wait. If you want quick, go to a fast food chain. If you want quality, go here.

A great place for brunch! We both had the Wrap it Up smothered burrito and spicy bloody Mary’s — both equally delicious! We will definitely come back.

This is the first time we’ve been in downtown Castle Rock. We didn’t even know Castle Rock had a downtown. The B&B Café came recommended from family around the area and we loved it. It’s a cute little café and I’m glad it’s still very clean. Yes, that’s a big deal for me. We had the turkey club and the breakfast burrito. First off, the portions are massive. I usually eat A LOT and I could barely finish my turkey club. My fiancée had the breakfast burritos and it was very good along with the chili. The only thing we would say is to add more chili next time and less cheese. I usually love cheese but we really wanted to taste more of the chili in the breakfast burrito vs the cheese but like I said before, all in all it was very good and we would come here again. We also loved how they had the history of the café on the table card so we can search for things around the café after we stuffed our faces.

Wish I had read reviews before we went. Server was forgetful. She was lovely and personable, but she couldn’t remember anything. Not one thing we asked for was given on the first request. Maybe she had too many things going. Drinks, condiments, to go box, etc. my companion asked for hamburger well done. It was raw– actively bleeding. She requested that it be cooked to well done, it came back medium rare. I don’t think they value their customers.

Amazing service fantastic food. Bob, the is always present and has a positive attitude even if the computers are giving his staff fits. We ate there this morning and had their fruit and yogurt and granola which was fantastic. We also ate there whole-grain pancakes with granola and fruit and it was delicious. I highly recommend going and having a good breakfast or lunch. The staff is fantastic friendly and professional.

The food was great but it was the service that will keep me coming back. MJ, I believe it was, was our waitress and she was the best. She was so friendly and so sweet and even told us some funny jokes. Don’t even get me started about the pies, so awesome they are homemade by someone in house. Better than Village Inn! Can’t wait to go back.

Not good. Food was cold, service was slow. All our meals were cold and the Bacon was old, like it was cooked the day before! YUCK!!! Come on B&B get it together!!!

While in town, I came here… twice. Both times I ordered the Old Fashioned breakfast. The first time better than the second. We were initially quoted a wait time of 15 – 20 minutes but ended up getting right in. You should probably expect a wait at a brunch spot on a Saturday morning. Eggs over medium — check. Bacon — GLORIOUS Wheat toast — fresh and thick slices Potatoes — bit of a let down. They appear to be cut into french fries but then grilled. The second time mine came out looking more fried without seasoning and dehydrated in contrast to my first experience with tender potatoes complete with seasoning. I guess I just wish they were crispy on the outside while remaining grilled. Coffee — strong and better than expected We were given a sample of the Green Chile and it was fantastic Gentleman next to me ordered french toast and it looked heavenly… I don’t even like french toast. Menu has gluten free portion on it. Overall prices were moderate and service was good enough.

I have to say… Disappointed again. I try to go local for most of the things we do in Castle Rock, but B &B just doesn’t get it done. Upon our arrival(my 2 year old son and I), it took a couple of minutes to be acknowledged by anyone. Once we were, the young girl told us they’d be right with us as she continued to make small talk with some people at the counter. After several minutes we were eventually sat by someone else. The service was fine from that point forward, but the food is less than stellar. We ordered the kids French Toast Stix and a standard egg breakfast for me. I will say that it came quickly(too quickly as you will see in a moment). The French Toast was deep fried(not mentioned on the menu), which to me was lazy and clearly unhealthy. Not something I would normally choose for my little one. He took one bite and as the grease oozed out, he was done. As far as my bacon and eggs… I ordered them over medium and they came extra runny(even the whites were not cooked) with mostly raw bacon. I would have given them the benefit of the doubt if it was busy, but this was a Monday morning and the restaurant was over half empty. It’s just not that hard to cook bacon and eggs… Again, always wanting to support small businesses, I was hoping for something better. I guess Castle Rock will continue to wait for a quality breakfast joint. Snooze or Jelly’s where are you?

B&B changed ownership last year, and I finally had the opportunity to try them out again this past weekend. I felt it was necessary to update my review since it was based on previous ownership, and a lot has changed. The inside of B&B is much the same, and actually a lot nicer. Things have been spruced up and painted, and it’s actually very comfortable and cute. I agree with other reviewers that there were too many staff mulling around, not seeming to move fast or do much. Worst was a guy that actually may have been the manager, who just sat in the back by our table yelling at other staff — loudly — all during our meal. It was very annoying. Unfortunately the food was really unimpressive. I ordered the Southern breakfast — a biscuit with gravy, eggs, bacon and potatoes and it was horrible. The biscuit and gravy was cold, doughy and completely bland and flavorless. Even the sausage in the gravy was completely devoid of flavor — they were just gray pieces of tasteless meat, which totally turned me off. The bacon was so limp and droopy I wondered if it had been cooked enough. The potatoes were the weirdest thing — they were red potatoes cut like French fries, barely cooked and super oily. The scrambled eggs were okay, but nothing to write home about. Overall it was greasy, bland, and I couldn’t even finish one item on my plate. It was very disappointing. My husband had the breakfast burrito which came with refried beans on the side, which seemed a bit weird for breakfast but they were pretty good. Inside the burrito was okay too, except he had loads of the same undercooked, oily potato«french fries» that he didn’t enjoy either. At least his sausage had flavor — unlike the sausage in my gravy. The only bright spot to our breakfast was the coffee and the service we received from our waitress, Kerry. She was so friendly and kept our cups filled with the tasty coffee. If not for her I don’t know if i could even justify one star. I’m sad that such a local institution has fallen as far as they have. I will give them some time and maybe try them again. Hopefully they work out these issues before our next visit.
