The sushi here is absolutely amazing. The Albacore, Salmon, Yellow tail, White fish, Halibut are the best you can get for an all you can eat sushi place. Even though we always go at lunch and finish his inventory Bruce has always been nice to us and gets the orders out real quick.

Just stopped by. Today is Sunday and apparently they don’t open till 430. The times on Unilocal are wrong. Drove over for nothing. Staff was friendly when I walked in and offered to go sushi that’s why the stars.

This is the best Sushi in the Valley. It’s not pretentious, the owner goes to great lengths to make sure you get amazing food, he is friendly and really makes the experience special. We are truly blessed to have him in our neighborhood. Hint: Ask him to makeYou something — he will surprise you with off the menu items.

Was easing myself into sushi so I can actually go eat out with my best friend who loves sushi so I decided to YOLO and take her to a sushi dinner after six flags(only 4.6 miles away)! I was thinking maybe we should do the all you can eat sushi for $ 25.95 a person but I think I got carried away… I ordered 2 baked salmon rolls, 1 dragon roll, 1 caterpillar roll, 1 lobster roll, and 1 crunch roll. Dude. We were STUFFED. I joked about how my best friend and I should just squeeze sushi rolls in our cheeks to avoid paying the extra fees but yknow YOLO. We were allowed to take home our leftovers cause we barely got to our baked salmon rolls and our server made it a point that they don’t usually let customers who do all you can eat take home leftovers. The penalty fee was $ 10 per person so our bill came to a total of $ 78 with taxes — not too much damage but now I know how many rolls we can handle and it’s definitely not 6 rolls LOL I would so, so, so recommend the lobster roll(if you like it spicy — this one is my fav), baked salmon roll(I honestly thought this was really good but creamy?), and the crunch roll(idk what it was but when I popped one into my mouth it was DELISH — flakey goodness). The other 2 are good as well but they didn’t stand out to me. Will definitely be back if I’m ever in the area again!

This was such a great surprise along the I-5 on our way home. The sushi was fresh and delicious and the prices for the amount of food we ordered were great! The space is clean, cozy & the staff is super personable. If you sit at the bar and are served by «Supermario» he is not only a great Chef but also has a great sense of humor. We’ll be making routine stops to and from Oakland and LA! On my «Good eats» list for sure!

I’ve only been here to order take out, but I love it! Everyone’s so friendly! I can’t eat avocado and they always make sure to not put any in my rolls. I can’t wait to come and eat inside. It’s also a huge plus that it’s a min away from my house!

Fresh sushi. Quick friendly service. Large portions. (I got the bento box.) I stopped by for a quick lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was busy. Everything went smoothly and my food was out in a few minutes. If I’m ever up in the area again I will be sure to stop by.

Skip this place . Ordered the Bento box dinner Spicy tuna roll with sashimi with a side of ponzu … And side of small tempura Soup was luke warm and tofu was COLD! Spicy tuna roll was just eh. Sashimi was terrible !! Spit out the fish immediately. NOT Fresh whatsoever . Ponzu sauce was watered down and tasteless(how you mess up ponzu i don’t know ??) Tempura was about the only thing that was salvageable. Flakey batter and sauce was perfect ! Will NEVeR come here again to the point I’m worried I might be sick tonight LM

Akasaka is hidden away in a tiny business plaza but was definitely a nice find outside of Magic Mountain for a not so greasy meal to refresh us at the end of the day. They offer a fair amount of creative rolls and provide nice details as to what is inside/outside of the rolls. Definitely don’t see that very often. My friends and I each ordered our own and everyone seemed to enjoy their choices. I found my Hawaiian roll to be very tasty. Fish was fresh and the price point was decent for the amount received. I would definitely consider Akasaka again when I’m back in the area.

Great food, recommend the cherry blossom roll. Extremely fresh fish. Ambience– traditional décor. Lost one star because it was a little messy(but clean where it matters), pretty loud, and the menu was really hard to follow. Although once I asked the waitress she was beyond helpful. Overall great experience. If we lived in the area, I believe we would frequent this business regularly

found this place on Unilocal a long time ago and finally had the chance to try it! seems like the or one of the highest rated sushi joints in the SCV and surrounding areas so why not! Came by on a Thursday afternoon around 3, pretty empty except for one group when we came in and a another upon leaving my friends and i ordered the all-you-can-eat, $ 24.95 not too bad pretty much average price for SCV sushi unless it’s Kyoto in Valencia(do they still do the $ 18.99AYCE?) anywho, the waitresses were nice and helpful, quick on the drink and kitchen orders i ordered a Saporo as well which came with an ice cold glass and bottle, nice! i love the rolls here because they aren’t HUGE like other AYCE places to fill you up and even any sushi item isn’t full of rice our two sushi chefs were fun, friendly, and quick on the orders! my orders today included: toro(fatty tuna belly) WOW delicious! smooth velvetty and thick slice! seared tuna: another WOW! amazing, melt in your mouth garlicky so good! salmon: thick cut, tender and fresh! rainbow roll: delicious fresh fish on each piece! from tuna salmon eel shrimp ++ crab and cucumber hand roll: cool to see whole crab and shredded crab(artificial crab meat) and fresh crunchy cucumber! crunch roll: long roll, but again not«huge» lots of crunch, great tempura shrimp, tasty sauce mixed tempura: only thing i wasnt a fan of, I’m used to having the potato and carrot and what not, this had bad zucchini, very bad broccoli, one shrimp and one onion ring which was also bad, only thing i didn’t enjoy from my orders so overall, 4⁄5 as i rated! fresh delicious rolls and fish, great service, decent price, well worth the AYCE and just a visit!

They may be great fry cooks but the sushi chefs here don’t seem to care too much about what they serve. I’ve been here twice to eat now and had the same experience both times. The place is clean enough and the wait staff friendly enough but the food quality was lacking. The yellowtail sashimi I had was either frozen then thawed or just old and the spicy tuna didn’t have nearly enough spice to cover up the fishy taste. I’m not generally a complainer and it has to be pretty bad for me to comment… I guess that says it all.

Went here for early dinner with my little sister. There were only us and another table when we arrived. So it wasnt busy. We ordered Tempura Udon(10⁄10 Perfect for the rainy weather), Crazy Boy Roll(Uh it was okay but not my favorite 6⁄10), California Rolls(10⁄10). Overall service was pretty good, even tho it got busy in the middle of our dinner. They were very attentive. Constantly checked in on us. And they wouldnt let us move around the tempura udon cause we might get burned lol. Thought it was funny and nice at the same time. We live near so were coming back again, for sure.

3.5 Stars My husband and I have been here before with the old owners. We used to like it when Sean the sushi chef used to work here. Over the weekend, my husband and I came here for lunch with my sister and her husband. We ate at the sushi bar and got the AYCE($ 23) with a 1 hour time limit. Their soda is sold at $ 1.50 per can(no fountain soda machines or refills). For two of us and drinks, our bill came out to around $ 60. The restaurant is by the Starbucks and parking is plentiful. Our sushi chef was nice and talkative, but some of the comments he made that was supposed to make us laugh was a bit of a turn off.(I wrote out some of the conversation, but decided not to go into details.) On to the food. My brother-in-law agreed that the fish was a lot fresher with the new ownership. I thought the sushi was good(albacore, tuna, salmon, tamago) however I’ve had better tasting rolls. Overall, it was pretty good and if in the area we would come again if my sister and brother-in-law want to eat here since they live in the area. 43⁄100 Reviews for 2015

Food was ok, chicken was better then the steak teriyaki. Had dinner boxes with two entrees ordered Cali roll and tuna roll they were good but what got me was the sign in the restroom(see picture). I am hoping they meant the toilet paper roll but I do not think so… You decide!!!
