+ Most of the food was fresh/within the hour + 7.99 adult lunch buffet, 6 for kid, 3-something for two drinks(combined), great price + Sweet tea was great + Very large and varied selection +/-Bathrooms looked really cool, awesome tile, but dirty/messy — No ‘authentic’ ambiance We had a pretty good experience here and would visit again. – I haven’t been to a buffet in yeearrss. My local buffet had been through the dog/horse/cat meat scandal multiple times and just gave up. I won’t go there anymore even with new ownership. The place looks like a barn from the outside, but the inside looks a bit more like a typical Chinese buffet. The ceiling was interesting, too. Sloped and wavy. We couldn’t tell if the waves were age/damage or meant to be there. There are about 8 – 9 buffet counters as well as a hibachi serving area. I did not see an ice cream station though I wasn’t looking specifically for one. The restaurant looked in good condition and I didn’t feel like anything was dirty or deteriorating in the main portion. I’m a ‘sampler’ at buffets and like to get ‘bite sized’ portions of most of the items. I tried the sushi, the pastries, the salad bar, the fruits, the noodles, and some of the appetizer-like items. My fiancé went for meats and some seafood and my daughter wasn’t feeling good and barely ate anything. The sushi was really hit and miss. A mix of Publix-level(bad), turning avocado and ill-tasting fish, all the way to ‘if this was hot it would have been amazing’ fried rolls. Steer clear of all the ‘plain’ rolls on the left side of the counter and head for the right side. I took about 7 pieces and ate about 3. Not too bad but didn’t go back for seconds. The egg pastry was amazing along with the fried dumplings, rice noodles, vinegar cucumbers, cheesy Krab, and pretty much every vegetable offering tasted good. The sweet potatoes were really good. They tasted like sweet potato casserole in solid-tater form. That was different! The dumpling sauce was fantastic, best I’ve ever had. Wish I woulda stashed some for my mum. The main issue I have with the place is the ambiance and the bathrooms. The restaurant lacked all the hallmark touches of a Chinese buffet that I’d experienced every other time in my life, every other state that I’ve been to one, prior to this establishment. There was no fountain, pond, or jade statues at the entrance. A local radio station was playing, including blaring commercials with rapid-speaking car salesmen and ads. It was not what I wanted to hear as I’m a fan of the light, string-heavy Asian soundtracks and such. There were TVs playing commercials pretty much the entire time(I didn’t pay enough attention to see what station was actually on, I assume news) instead of slideshows of native nature/beautiful architecture/art or not at all. I wasn’t keen on it and as my fiancé is a man, he constantly looked up at it and commented on it. Sorry, I don’t really care to do the whole ‘omg look at that’ and me miss it by a second and have to get a full retelling of the last 5 mins of commercials. I wasn’t expecting a sport’s bar level of distraction during the meal. The bathrooms looked unique and interesting with wooden slat doors and awesome-looking floor tiles. I legitimately want those for a sunroom/porch. The bathroom was very large and had extremely handicapped accessible features with the paper towel and other dispensers very low to the ground. That always makes me happy. However, it was dirty, messy, and unattractive on top of all the niceness. Writing, slang, and crap all over the doors. Broken wall tiles, messy, parts and equipment littered the floor as well as a wet and messy countertop. Overall, I feel like we got our money’s worth during the lunch buffet and would come back if we’re ever in the area again.

The food selection is not as expansive as most buffets. The food was lackluster– lo mein is made with fettuccini noodles and greasy, the sweet and sour sauce is watered down, the sliced beef was very chewy and the rest of the food was the same quality. As we ordered our stir-fry we noticed that all of the heat lamps above the food were crusted with grease and have obviously never been cleaned and the soup was crusted on to the serving spoons also. Then we entered the bathrooms: girls– graffiti all over the stalls, toilet seats all up and covered with water, one toilet clogged with poo, and a dead cockroach in the sink. boys– graffiti all over the stalls, and garbage can kicked over with trash on the floor. Atleast the staff was nice and our drinks were always full.

Great selection of food at a good price if you do the buffet. Alright service and pretty good food for a buffet. I recommend it for Chinese food. The food has improved since the lack of flavor a couple months ago to be the best Chinese I have ever tasted.

This use to be my friend’s and my favorite Chinese restaurant to go to for lunch at least once a month but we both agreed that our last visit would be our LAST visit. We eat different items from their large buffet and both of us experienced food that tasted so bad we spit it in to our napkins! And Items that we have loved for years tasted differently or just had little flavor, e.g. the fried wontons use to be light and crispy and now they are like little rocks and the noodles weren’t crisp at all and were rather white. The chicken on a stick and the egg rolls had no flavor, and the boiled shrimp was mushy.(After a previous visit I had tummy problems the next morning, but as the food had tasted okay, I was not wanting to blame it on their food.) After this visit my friend and I both experienced bad reactions the next morning. I am heart broken as I really liked being able to choose from their great selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts but unfortunately this restaurant is no longer one I will eat at nor take a chance with my health.

We’ve been going to New Peking about 2 years now. They always had a great selection and good food until recently. About six months ago, I’ve noticed a decline. The selection has decreased, the food is cold, and most of it isn’t palatable. Save your money and go elsewhere unless you’re in the mood for clumpy stale fried rice and old soggy chicken and vegetables.

Wasn’t really impressed. Not as many options except for the sushi bar available, especially dessert. Some items were cold and I had to ask for a refill :/

My whole family had stomach issues after eating here. The food was lacking flavor and had a funny smell. Don’t waste your money here.

They have a really great selection of food. I loved all of the sushi options available on the buffet and the Mongolian grill was awesome to create your own stir fry. The only downside was they didn’t have cream cheese wontons, which are one of my favorite Chinese dishes. We will definitely be coming back to eat here!

Too greasy, old food that you can see and meat tastes like fish. Same pan for cooking maybe? Fried rice was yellow vegetable rice. The only good thing was the ice cream and the service. What a shame.

This place has fallen off. They used to be my favorite, but the food quality has slipped heavily. They aren’t worth the drive anymore. I’m truly saddened.

I’ve been looking for a good Chinese Buffett in the Orlando area for a while. This one Is a bit out of the way from our home but it’s worth the drive. The food was good. The place was very clean and the price was great. There is a huge selection of food. It’s worth checking out.

I am really meticulous with Chinese food, so I only eat in limited joints in Orlando and Miami. This place has a great variety, excellent price, excellent customer service, the restaurant was clean and food was delicious. sushi bar is small but good, I went with company and only spend $ 27.00 with drinks.

Chinese Buffets have a bad reputation and rightfully so in most cases. They continue to top the charts of the dirtiest restaurants. New Peking Buffet continues to impress with their chinese buffet. First of all, they have fresh made sushi. The sushi chef prepares it right there so you can see it made fresh. They also have mongolian BBQ if you like that. Several things about this place stand out. 1. It is very clean. The floors are shiny and all the food stations are well kept. 2. The buffet portions at each station are small. By not putting out tons of food at each station, the food turns over much quicker and is always coming out new. 3. They replace the serving utensils on the buffet about every 30 minutes or so. Someone with a cart goes around and takes the old serving spoons and replaces them with clean ones, regardless if they«look» like they should be replaced. 4. They have a HUGE selection of food here. If you can’t find something you like, you won’t be happy anywhere. This is not 5 star food, but some really tasty things are made here. 4 stars for me and a job well done by New Peking Buffet!

Gotta say I am not really into Chinese buffets at all, but this place is good. Their selection is pretty big, the food is good quality, not the norm. I am totally surprised and recommend it highly for a Chinese buffet.

Your typical Asian buffet but with a better than normal sushi bar. Both my daughter and I experienced gastro issues for about 12 – 24 hrs after our visit. Service was very good but once was enough for us.

Had some time to kill for lunch while in town, came across this unassuming Chinese buffet. I say unassuming because the building does not look like your typical Chinese place. But once inside, we were happy with the appropriate bright and clean décor. They have a typical buffet selection plus sushi and Mongolian style. I always hit the Mongolian first. It is usually a good measuring stick on a place. They had an extensive selection of proteins and fresh veggies for you to hand over to the cook. It came out excellent. I was very satisfied with the remaining quality and variety, the waiter refilling our drinks and the freshness of the melons, which typically are not in my other experiences. They only offer vanilla/chocolate soft-serve ice cream though. It was really the only thing lacking from other buffets. I gave four stars as for being a buffet, it is what it is. I won’t go out of my way to come back, but the value, selection, quality and cleanliness were very satisfying.

Ok, don’t judge me, but I’m a sucker for a Good Chinese Buffet! And, honestly they are rather hard to come by. I have been wanting to try this place as there are always tons of cars when I pass by so I figured it must be pretty good. My son and I went on Sat. around 1:00pm, there were quite a lot of people, however because the place is so big and there are so many items to choose from, you really didn’t feel like it was that busy. The food was awesome! Everything was hot, fresh and the place was really clean. Just about anything you could think of was on that buffet. They had sushi, which I always air of the side of caution from a Chinese place, but it was really good! The Sushi chef was standing there making it, so it was fresh! They do the Hibachi grill also and next time I will definitely try that. Overall, great place, great prices and there is something for everyone!

When the dippy place down the road closed, I was looking for a Chinese Buffet in this area. Despite it being around for a year or two, I finally tried this place over the holidays. As I said in my review of another Chinese Buffet, it’s definitely not the highest class food around, but it’s very very good at what they do. Great selection of food. Probably too much to even start to scratch the surface. I actually prefer fewer choices at buffets, but this is a good amount. The sushi was good, but many pieces were completely unlabeled as to what it was and what the ingredients were. Might have been since I was there right as they opened, but I prefer to know what I’m eating(except for Dim Sum — whatever in there is delicious, don’t tell me what it is!)

I am a huge fan of Chinese food but have always been optimistic about buffet places. I have been coming to this place for a while and it has always been a good experience. The service has always been good just like my most recent visit, I also like the selection of food plus the prices are great. This place does get bay but with such a big place it is no problem because there Is plenty of seating.

I was expecting to like this place… I only went because my niece hyped it up and we had to cuz it was her birthday. Boy was I disappointed. Everything tasted old and stale. And I tried a bunch of stuff! Teriyaki chix, sweet n sour chix, steamed shrimp, fried shrimp, ribs, beef,… plantains, the sugar donuts that people raved about,… I was trying to find Something… Anything… that tasted good. We went at 5pm, so the food should’ve been fresh. It wasn’t. There was no one in line for the Mongolian BBQ so I tried that first. It took the chef FOREVER!!! I can only imagine how long the line would be during the dinner rush. Geesh! When it comes to Asian buffets, I like Koy Wan better. It’s on 436 in the Kohls shopping center.
