It’s rather difficult reviewing the Cass Comapny Store. It’s been in existence since Cass was a timber town and it provided for all of the timber company’s needs. But as its name says, it was a company store, owned by the tiimber company. You had to pay their price for their merchandise of their choosing. And it wasn’t as if you could take yor business elsewhere. Cass was and remains a relatively isolated place. Imagine how isolated it was before the advent of good paved roads! As a result, many workers in Cass never saw a dime of their pay. It all went to debt at the company store. Today the Cass Company Store sells a lot of tourist stuff, paticulary related to the Cass Scenic Railway. They do sell some general merchandise here, particulary for those staying in the earby company houses. But it’s still a pretty cool kitschy place if you’re looking for some souvineers.
