Bucks is THE place to chill. All the other places in the area have super slow wifi that can’t even load the memes needed to go with your coffee. This place can whip like 3mbps download speed on even a busy day. Perfect for even the largest .gifs and dank YouTube videos. The rough sawn pine flooring and the red oak wine racks really tie the rooms together as well. Really have to stress the high quality pine panels on the walls too. Hands down the best pine in the area. So tasteful. So elegant. Coffee here is pretty good too.

Starbucks ain’t got nothing on this place! The interior looks like a living room spread from Southern Living. They have an ultra comfy lounge with large tables. They have a wide variety of coffee drinks and food and all at a reasonable price. Throughout the store are local jewelry and art for sale. This place is cozy and quaint and a must do.

Such wonderful coffee that when we stopped on the way up we made it a point to stop on the way back! WAYBETTER than Starbucks! This is REAL coffee! Also, a cute selection of jewelry, furniture, art and knick knacks for sale!

Best coffeehouse in the area, year round! They have great coffee and snacks along with a nice selection of wine as well. They often have music venues during the summer months. A relaxing mountain ambience, unique objects for sale and free high-speed Internet to boot! It is my favorite place to go when I’m in town!

I was in Sapphire, NC for a family vacation, but unfortunately had to get some work done. Any coffee shop that lets me chill for almost 5 hours after having only purchased a coffee and pastry is awesome in my book.(Granted, please be assured that I ordered the biggest coffee possible and purchased the same for my friend who met me there). This seemed like the sort of place that has all kinds of customers. You could tell that some of them were locals. Some of them were tourists. Some of them were retirees and some of them were impossible to categorize. Everyone was über polite and helpful. Bucks Coffee Café has a cozy, casual ambience. It’s perfectly conducive to getting work done and being focused. The bathrooms were very clean, too. I don’t think it is the most exceptional coffee café in the world(hence the three stars), but as the 3-star description says, it was«A-OK.»

This is a great coffee shop! Cute décor with plenty of seating. We got coffee and my daughter got a mango smoothie. The food looked delicious, but we did not try any on our stop in that day. We enjoyed our drinks while my husband checked his emails. Yes, they have wifi. The house we rented for the week did not. While I was happy to unplug on my vacation, it was nice to stop in to Bucks and grab a drink and check in.

Vacation towns tend to attract folks with money — and Cashiers in no exception. In the surrounding hills, one can honestly say«Thar’s money in them thar hills»(money made elsewhere and spent on nice real estate here). All that said, these towns have coffee shops that compete to attract«the beautiful people» down from the hills. This is one of those places. Behind the counter, there is an abundance of attitude — from the gentleman barista(who doles out smiles with remarkable infrequency) and the others who come across dour and not at all concerned with service being something to deliver with pleasantries. The three times we visited, it almost seemed as though our orders were somewhat inconvenient. It’s chic inside. there’s a jaguar skin in front of the fire-place. The idea is that here is where the well-to-do’s come for their cup o’ joe. And, sure enough. The popped collars, sockless loafers and go-to-hell pink or lime-green shorts all belie a life-style that is attracted to Bucks Coffee — very likely to share their own clinched and dour outlooks. But… — I digress. Truth be told, the barista pulled a decent quad tall latte — and expertly hearted the crema.

Excellent coffee and breakfast items. The service was a little slow but that was because they were packed and the employees were clearly working very quickly to serve everyone. Very nice area towards the back with tables for enjoying breakfast that aren’t filled with people on laptops and tablets doing work because the business reserves those tables for people dining in. I got a French vanilla iced coffee with Almond milk and they even handed me the almond milk and let me add as much as I wanted. They also accommodated my dietary needs(lactose intolerance) and took the cheese off of my breakfast sandwich without hesitation. Overall very pleasant experience, we will be back tomorrow.

It’s the only game in town for coffee so the staff can afford to be blasé, I suppose. I took great offense at the signs on each table reading: «These tables are reserved for our dining customers. Do not make this your office.» Really? This is a coffee shop that offers pre-made sandwiches and breaded breakfast fare. Dining establishments provide table service. People patronize coffee shops to drink coffee and work or play online. Get over yourselves. Cashiers screams for a coffee shop alternative.

Just passing through & wanting some coffee. What a pleasant surprise! The espresso machine was out & the replacement wasn’t up yet(it needed some espresso too) so we ordered dark coffee. The coffee was quite fantastic. The ambiance of this place is adorable. They have a few rooms with furniture & other items for sale. Definitely unique and worth a walk around the shop.

Coffee is good and the décor is really interesting. This is our first visit and the customer service would be best described as cold and unengaging. There is a $ 0.50 charge for credit card charges less than $ 10 and they don’t take Amex. Not complaining about that, just an FYI.

The Capaccino I ordered was good. Fairly standard and nothing exceptional. If you’re looking for a authentic coffeehouse experience, this isn’t it. They use paper cups. No mugs or cups. The outside porch area was filled with smokers. Inside was hot and uncomfortable. The seating area was nice with newspapers and couches. They did provide free wifi after inputting a long complex password.

We were on vacation in Cashiers, NC for only three days and managed to stop in at Buck’s three times. Cozy atmosphere, a great place to take a moment to discuss or web search what hike to hit next. The black coffee was delicious, my boyfriend said it’s the best latte he’s ever had and my chai tea latte with almond milk hit the spot after my hike up Baldrock. If I lived in town, I’d be a regular:) Also– beautiful goods and local art for sale, if you are in the mood for some shopping.

Maybe I came here on an off day or maybe I’m getting coffee snobbier(not a real word, but I’m going to roll with it anyway) as I’m getting older, but I was a little disappointed with the quality of the coffee served here. My partner got a cup of the Buck’s Blend, but it was bitter and a little weak. He found it to be undrinkable. I ordered a mocha, which wasn’t bad. It wasn’t the best mocha I’ve had, but certainly not the worst. I didn’t try any of the food, although it did certainly look tasty. I can’t remember now what was said, but one of the employees said something to my partner which rubbed him the wrong way. She had a bit of an attitude toward him, but she was pretty friendly to me. Otherwise, the ambiance here was fun and kitschy. It definitely had a resounding deer theme and reminded me of a cabin. It was definitely the kind of place an outdoorsy type would like. Overall, it was an interesting place, but I think I might skip this place on my next trip.

Amazing ambiance, despite going through some construction. Wasn’t too busy to go in and have a cup before heading out of Cashiers. One review said that their flatbreads/paninis/what have you, were frozen but on the sign it said they were pre-made on site. I had an ice coffee– best I’ve ever had while on vacation. Significant other had a Mocha something, to which he also enjoyed! They do sell some things inside so looking around was very interesting, elk antler salt and pepper grinders! Very friendly and feels very local! Recommend!

Good coffee, fast service. The spicy cheese biscuit and sausage egg and cheese biscuit are really good. They are pre made but after they heat them up you can’t tell the difference at all

Been going here for 3 years now & this place is GREAT. Granted, I typically use them for their free WiFi as my mountain getaway is not wired, but each time I come, I get something to eat or drink. I’m not a big coffee person, but have enjoyed a couple of their brews. My fiancée tells me that it compares favorably to the longer-named ‘Bucks. You know, the one with the STAR in front. The hot chocolate & apple cider are delicious! I’ve had their spicy cheese biscuit(exactly as advertised) and other various breakfast sandwiches here. Nothing over the top, but delicious and always served fresh & hot. It does get busy in here during summer tourist times, so get in early & get out or grab a chair by the window(where I am right now!) and sit for a while and enjoy.
