Odd place. An older house is the inn, with an adjacent building with about six units constructed more recently. We got a 2-room«tour» but weren’t offered a room in the inn though they didn’t seem very full. Thin walls and my wife’s bed was lumpy. No headboard on the bed. But it was clean, which is certainly important. A little noisy from traffic passing by on the highway. No breakfast was offered because it was after Labor Day. Really? Price was $ 98, which was Ok considering it was close to where we were going. But $ 200 in the summer boating season? We would look elsewhere.

Cute and charming Inn with a motel room option or the Inn option. The room we had was in the motel part. The room was very lovely with a fridge and microwave. It was a little outdated but we liked it a lot. They have a very nice pool. The location is perfect ! So close to everything. However our favorite part of this place is the Inn Keepers, Rene and Patrick. They are both so nice and helpful! Probably the friendliest Inn Keepers I’ve ever met!!!

We had the pleasure staying here last night. It was amazing! One of the nicest bed and breakfasts we’ve ever stayed in. René and Patrick were a delight. Even before we got here, they recommended the Black Bear Café down the road — great entertainment with good food. There’s a nautical theme throughout the Inn — very homey. Breakfast was European-style — eggs, pastries, coffee and tea– Everything you could want, and was very filling. Clean, nicely decorated and a most congenial host. If you are in the area, this is a great place to stay.

I know everything is particularly pricey during summer time, so I’ll try not to focus on money. My family and I went there for 2 nights. The people running it are very nice and friendly, and the breakfast is very good and allows you to choose from different sort of(sweet) things. Also, it’s quite well located, near the state park and Sebago lake, and Naples town which is ok. There are just a couple of problems. First, being so close to the main road, it’s a little noisy. But the main problem is cleanness. The bed sheets and the bathroom and towels were ok, but there were spiderwebs all over the place. And therefore, there were a lot of spiders. Are they sacred here like cows in India or something? I understand we’re in the countryside and you’re supposed to find a bug or two(or not) but the room was full of all kind of spiders, big and small. If the maid would’ve cleaned thoroughly that morning, you’d seen one or two maybe but not so many. Also, the doors and walls were full of fingerprints from previous guests. And there was a t-shirt between the dresser and the wall, so she does never look around when she cleans? The joke of it all is that we had been given an envelope to tip the maid!

Nice people, but not what we expected from reading the previous Unilocal reviews and looking at the website. We are a family of 5 and a dog. We were looking for a clean room with a nice outdoor pool, continental breakfast and dog friendly. Our room was clean, the breakfast was okay, and we loved being able to have our dog in the room! But… we were expecting some comfort and aesthetic appeal. We saw uncomfortable, worn out plastic adirondack chairs for pool furniture, overgrown weeds around the pool and buildings, outdated furnishings, and needed building repairs. With some updates and a grounds keeper the room may have been worth the $ 200 a night we paid.

An extremely charming place! As someone injured from out of state, I was stuck in the nearby emergency room needing a place to spend the night. My wife called the maplewood inn, and the kind owners stayed up late to make sure we got in ok. Very nice room. As someone who normally stays in chain hotels, I didn’t know what to expect. The room was clean, but a little dated. Nothing too bad. Clean and comfortable bed and linens. You can tell that the owners have been working hard fixing it up. Breakfast was quaint and charming(which made my wife fall in love with the place). The pool is well kept but I personally did not go swimming in it. I also did not use the in-room tv and free wifi, but it was there if we needed it. The owners completely made this place for me. René EMBODIES hospitality. He helped us find a taxi service, joked with us as we waited for said taxi, and was overall a kindhearted, caring person. I’m one that loves giving business to nice people, and I might have to come back to Maine just to stay again!

I love this place dearly! I went up there for the fourth of July and to relax at the lake and this was the perfect place to stay. not only is it close to the state park/jet ski rental places — but Rene & Patrick are 2 of the nicest, most wonderful, hospitable people on the planet. They are so friendly, and lovely. They really make you feel at home in their beautiful inn/motel. We stayed in the motel which was immaculately clean and comfortable — and the pool was right outside too! It was lovely! The breakfast was amazing. fresh fruit coffee bagels milk oj etc etc… and it’s free! Just, really — I can’t express how fabulous this place was. If you’re heading up to Sebago — this place is cheap clean and in a perfect location!

I visit my old summer camp in Maine every summer and always stay here(this summer was my 4th time!). Rene, the owner, is a fantastic host and talking over the phone with Patrick to book my stay is always a delight. The Inn is close to the town of Naples which has lots to do. Since it is right outside of the town, the Inn is extremely quiet. I am always comfortable! There are personal AC units in each room so you are in control of the climate at all times. I have stayed at the Maplewood Inn with a friend and solo. Rooms are large and there are plenty of drawers and closet space for anything you brought with you(or plan to buy at the Freeport outlets!). Breakfast is fresh and delicious with bagels(I always have it with cream cheese and jelly), pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. The bathrooms are clean, the bed is always made and Rene always has a smile on his face. He even let me use his computer to get directions! It is always a pleasure to stay here and I recommend this cozy B&B to everyone.

A lovely place to rest your head, owned by the kindest couple you could hope for. They were my landlords for two semesters, when I was in medical school, and I couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience. They treated me like family. I rented a room in their chalet, while my friend was in the actual inn itself. We both had a great experience. If you want to beat the hustle and bustle of the big city, and want to experience small country living, then you need to look no further.
