*900thREVIEW* Inaugural Pikes Peak Downhill Race 2013 This review is indeed long over-due, since I want to dedicate this review as my 900th reviews in Unilocal. Hubs volunteered for this event. It was a 2 day event, but the MAIN Event where ALL the FINAL races were scheduled on the last day of Sunday, September 8th2013. There are about 96 competitors which started to race and ONLY64 qualified for the Epic Race in Colorado Soil on that Sunday. There are competitors all across the globe riding this event. Majority being from the USA. All in all, it was a fun-filled event that makes Longboarding an event worth watching let alone to take part in. From the starting point at 11,446ft till 10,767ft. indeed its HIGH Elevation Longboarding at its best. Imagine riding down those hill with a 680-foot drop in elevation and grades of 9.2% to 14.15%. Some riders reached speeds of 55mph. Imagine riding down with 55mph ONLY on a longboard! Zak Maytum Boulder, Colorado represent WON the Race! A Big Thank you to the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, International Downhill Federation, the riders and the volunteers which made this event a Success! @119/2014
