Decent size camping sights. The whole reservations online extra charge is crazy to ‘service’ the computer program. People book the no reservation sites at 3 pm the day before but don’t pay. Most bathrooms and common areas are well maintained. Not a lot of close by things to do but just chilling time is definitely worth it.

My favorite camping area at Kettle Morraine North. There are plenty of nice sites you can reserve ahead of time online at Reserve America. My son and I have camped here six years in a row now. My fave loop is the high 900s, but the 800s have served us well too. Great things about Long Lake Rec Area: –Online reservations with pics of sites –Rod and Tackle loaner program –Fishing pier –Swimming at South Beach area –Weekend nature programs for kids –Dundee Mountain trailhead –Crushed gravel bike path to Mauthe Lake –½ mile to natural spring pump at Butler Lake –Friendly Rangers, Site hosts, and Camp Staff Yes, I’m a huge fan. Pack up the rods and reels, the bikes, the dogs(some sites are pet friendly) and hit the road. Great camping awaits you at Long Lake.

Clean, quite, great campsites. Lake is clean and there are two beaches. Went for a Sunday through Tuesday camping trip to escape from the city. The boys had a great time as we were the only ones in the lower 900s campsites. A little close to the road, so car noise was almost constant but enjoyable for a quick trip out of town.
