Ulta Salon, Cosmetics and Fragrance

I scheduled my next hair cut at the end of my first visit. 6 weeks later, I arrived for my appointment and learned that the stylist had not actually scheduled me and wasn’t even working that day.
In and of itself, the scheduling mix-​up wouldn’t have been a huge deal, just reschedule for the next weekend or something. However, between the stylist who first tried to look up my appointment, the salon manager, and even the general manager, there wasn’t a single apology for my inconvenience. The GM actually looked over the salon manager’s shoulder, was informed of the problem… and walked away.
I felt the salon manager’s attitude was like I wasn’t being flexible enough when I didn’t jump at the opportunity to have my hair cut by a stylist who was in the middle of doing some foils. I had other things planned following my hair cut and someone waiting for me, but I did sit down for a few minutes, which gave me time to reflect. This stylist was supposed to cut my hair while the other customer’s color was on her hair. Would stylist’s attention really be on my hair cut? Would she feel rushed for time? Would this other customer feel like she wasn’t getting the attention she was paying for?
For the prices this salon charges for services (haircut $ 36 — $ 46), I expect a higher standard of customer service. Every person I spoke to was apathetic, unapologetic, and seemed unwilling to help resolve the problem. They didn’t even seem like they cared IF it got resolved all.
If you’re going to spend $ 40 for a haircut, take your money to a salon that actually cares about their customers.
(On another trip to this store, I was shopping for shampoo and got to listen to two stylists LOUDLY complain about another who wasn’t there that day. Totally unprofessional. One even had a customer in front of her while she gossiped.)

Worst hair salon experience I have ever had. Felt like a 12-​year-​old was doing my hair. Total lack of experience in the basics of shampooing and blow drying. And the girl said she had been working there 4 years. The price to do a shampoo and blowout was $ 36 and my hair didn’t look good when I left. I could do a better job myself. Total highway robbery. Will never return to this salon.

Typical Ulta, but VERY nice staff at this location. I always try to stop in and burn a coupon on something girly when I’m in the area. No complaints.
